Putting Teams on Sanctions with Editor

I was playing around with the editor today, and I always wondered if you could actually put teams on sanction in the game. Since North Carolina is in some pretty big trouble with the NCAA, I decided to test this out with them. In editor I went to the Ncaa sanction column and put 1 in and the duration of the NC's probation period is 3 years, so I put a 3 in the sanction duration column...


Loaded the game back up and went to recruit and behold instead of the standard 25 scholarships, they only had 15!!!

This could be huge. Not sure how I would determine how a team gets on sanctions or how high the value is for sanctions and what impact it has on the team (I.e bowl ban, etc.) but I was thinking.. with limiting scholarships, we can take out teams like Air Force, Navy and Army from becoming those dominate teams late in dynasty's that we all hate. Make them get walk-ons instead of recruits.

I'll try to see what all I can find and will post more here later on.

NCAA Sanction Value in Editor and How it correlates to NCAA 14:
Put in # = Penalty in game

From what I've found so far.... Looking to see if there is a bowl ban but I doubt it. Also thinking about giving all military schools the sanction of -20 scholarships..

1= (-10) scholarships
2= (-15) scholarships
3= (-20) Scholarships
4= (-25) Scholarships

I posted all this a while ago and no one really seemed interested. I think its really cool. I've done it in a few of my dynasties.

There is so much in the editor still not truly discovered yet... have you figured out what running strategy is?

Every team is set to 90..

the only thing i have noticed is that when user of the team you will see the reduction of scholarship when you go to your recruiting board. Other than that nothing else that I have noticed. I don't think there is anything that can happen in game per say to get on sanction. This was an old feature in NCAA 2005 i remember where you could get placed on sanctions if your players did something illegal or you failed to discipline them. Wish we could get that in NCAA 14 somehow

Yea, I remember those days. A player would get caught cheating on an exam or something. Miss that aspect.

I've been using this in my dynasty to keep Army and Navy from becoming powerhouses. However, after every year the "Sanction Duration" and "Sanctions" columns are automatically reset to zero. I'm not sure if they are still present in game from year to year (if you set "Sanction Duration" to multiple years) or not since I haven't checked in-game, but I just re-enter the edits every pre-season.

Which load config you using? Xan or Pocket Scout? Is it abbreviated?

I'd assume you can re enter these any time in the preseason - so when I'm editing recruits? Obviously want to get it all done at once. It's really too bad we can't make the changes stick.
