Why " NBA2K12 classic game presentations " disappeared ?

Hi everyone,
Do you know why 2K stop doing this presentations ?
It was one of the best addition in nba 2k12.
This isn't only my thought,I just look all the reviews and unanimously, everyone loved this old-school presentations.
That's why i really don't understand the choice of 2K

Is there a specific reason ?
If someone have a answer or a devs read this,i'm curious to know why this presentations have disappeared.

that is exactly why it happened and that most likely be back in 2k17 or 2k18 seems like a another lockout might be coming...

I never understood why game series, specifically sports, ditch beloved features in their newer versions.

Player creation has taken a huge step down. Sure, now we can modify facial features and put ourselves in the game.. But we are limited to using horrible haircuts, can't change body types, and tattoo selection is a joke.

Player modes like All star weekend (3 point, dunk, etc.) are all gone. I'm not sure if it was 2k or live, but I remember being able to play in real life blacktops around the United States. That's also gone.

There's no D league, summer league or USA basketball. And just like OP stated, they took out a simple, yet awesome presentation mode.

It'd be great if there were some sort of press release or notes published by the company, letting their consumers know why we aren't getting something we used to. But then again, why would they do that?

Why work on a seldom-used presentation when there is still so much work to be done on the one that matters?

There's no work needed to do, at least in the case of last gen. Just allow users to choose the presentation instead of doing all this work only for a confined mode that involved a tiny amount of matchups.

Just look at the legends full stop. They've just been shoe horned in as an after thought to appease the old heads like myself, but no love has gone into them. Laughable when you think about how good the legends looked in 2k11/2k12 and now they've been pushed to bottom of the 2k food chain.

The difference in player models and uniforms compared to the current teams is absolutely shocking. They look like early run PS3 models with their jerseys super glued to their bodies.......

I skipped 2k12 but holy **** that presentation looks awesome.

Imagine era specific classic rosters in Mycareer or Myleague with that presentation on ps4.

They took all the money and dipped it into My Player and all the other "My" stuff lol.

I guess since everybody hated 2k12 they decided to scrap everything about it going forward and this happened to be a casualty.

I wish I could agree with you... But that's false by this year game. 2k has been trying to break waters with My player since PS2. I remember I hated it then. And I still hate it now. But I can't sit here and say that most people don't use it. It's kind of scary in my opinion. 2k wants to be the COD of sports. Put your face in the game. And play as yourself and run around with your crew on the basketball court. Even blacktop mode isn't what it use to be.

And that's what I sightly afraid of. 2k will invested most of it's money into this put of the game if more and more people play it. But then cut out other parts of the game. I just hope that's not what happening.

I believe this is the route they are going, but I was hoping in the current gen of gaming we could have the best of both worlds without having the true NBA side of the game getting cut out, but I guess that was wishful thinking.
