I think it's just the Christmas Day. With everyone getting new consoles and the game. More people are online. I saw my Xbox live go off twice today. That's my guess. If it persists reboot.

Both PSN and Xbox Live are down because of a DDoS attack from hackers. It has nothing to do with 2K. It just goes to show how poor these companies' servers are(Sony/Microsoft).

Actually, it's more about those guys (hackers) being wizards... Data security around systems is not a perfected world.

Yup, but we are talking about multi-billion dollar companies, not some average company. They have all the money in the world to get it right, yet every time they go down like this from a DDoS attack.
