ummm is it me or are steals too easy?

Had this game for a few weeks now and got into ultimate teams. On some of the challenges I find my self getting easy pickpockets with random pgs. Lol.

Then I jumped online for the first time and saw that in a few of my games, I got matched up with people who only spammed the steal button and coming away with steals. My problem with this is that my guards shouldn't get ripped so easily when I'm playing smart. Hacks like this should be punished in some way. It's annoying to lose like this cause it feels like you aren't playing ball anymore, but you're playing, don't **** up ball.

Like I hate to complain but this has become a major per peeve with this game, especially online.

You have to protect the ball. If they reach, cross them over and go around for an easy score. I like that there isn't a force field around the ball.

Ahh I see, I'm guessing I should dribble with my off hand , away from the one he's spaming the reach with via the right stick?

I mean I respect the fact there is no force field as well, but hacks like these make me mad cause that's their only form of defense, not counting the random blocks

Yea, it's hard to counter at first, because it's hard to pay attention to your ball handler while trying to set up the offense. But if you notice your opponent reaching, you can get around him pretty easily. Worst case, call for screens to get him away from you.

There was a thread on this some months back,

It's improved a lot post patch....a lot more fouls are called.....but despite what you do, they will still be rewarded with steals due to randomly spamming the steal button....

It'd be ideal if they added in a protect the ball stance if it's going to remain like this...

They've actually got one. I've seen the cpu use it occasionally, but I can't figure out how to trigger it.

thanks guys. i still get ripped sometimes on some BS, but the tips really helped out. especially the quoted method (although its LOL when it done right) its like cheese to combat cheese. i remember last night i dropped 41/21 with iggy and wade from doing this cause the guy just kept reaching.

im still enjoying this game.

Yes steals are too easy, other than that... great game. Very Fun.
