That's a new project for 2k15, ps4. ROSTER IS ONLINE NOW

Like many of you, i love 80s basketball. My goal here is to make 30 classic teams from the 80s, so you will be able to play a custom season with 30 teams from the 80s. From the 1979-1980 season to 1989-1990 season.
Keep in mind that with this roster you are supposed to use just those 30 teams, 'cause im going to replace some 90s or some current team with 80s one...so...dont look at the other teams, just play those 30 and make a full season if you enjoy, like i will do.

This roster is for season mode. Select the following 30 teams from 70s\80s and use in a season.
The new classic teams like Lakers 1979 have a roster with 8-9 players, the classic teams already in the game like Bulls 1989 have a 12 man rotation completed.
You have to select the following teams:

So i made some progess during last night lol


After some back and forth, i created the 88-89 Pacers, 88-89 Suns, 89-90 Sonics, 89-90 Blazers, 79-80 Jazz. Now i have made a lot of legends, using 2k offical ratings, like Bob McAdoo, Spencer Haywood, Elvin Hayes...and i dont have a team for them yet in this project. Was thinking about 80 Bullets, 80 Lakers, 84 Lakers...dont know. Any suggestion guys?




Right now, this is the roster after UPDATE 2. All the "new" teams in bold are already made with at least 8 players.

All 3 of those guys would be better for 70's teams. IMO, if you are doing an 80's project, they don't belong. I mean, the 80 Lakers is great, but Haywood was way past his prime, same with McAdoo in the 80's. If you really wanna have those guys, expand the project to include late 70's teams. Just my 2 cents. Either way, it's nice to see somebody doing a project like this.

All 3 of those guys would be better for 70's teams. IMO, if you are doing an 80's project, they don't belong. I mean, the 80 Lakers is gproblemat Haywood was way past his prime, same with McAdoo in the 80's. If you really wanna have those guys, expand the project to include late 70's teams. Just my 2 cents. Either way, it's nice to see somebody doing a project like this.

Thanks sellaz, but my work is not good like yours. any way. ..what do you Think about a mid 70s Knicks team for Mcadoo and Haywood? And for Hayes i have just a big problema: Wes Unseld! i dont know how to make a good cap for him...

Thanks sellaz! I will try to do Unseld later! So, its time for UPDATE 3: i made the 76 Knicks like you suggested with both McAdoo and Haywood. I "added" also the 1976-77 Sixers to the project along with the 84-85 Bulls.
Right now i have 20 teams, 10 left, here we go with some ideas: a mid 80s Jazz team with Malone and Stockton replacing current Jazz team, a late 70s Lakers team with Kareem, a late 80s team with Magic without KAJ, a late 80s Dallas team replacing current Mavs, a Bullets team with Hayes and Unseld, replacing current Wizards...maybe im thinking about including also 71 Hawks and 72 Lakers, 'cause Wilt is my fav player and Pistol Pete is a must since im using 70s teams...
I have created some more caps, like Mark Eaton, Rolando Blackman, always using 2k official ratings...

Well, some will be duplicated...let's say, there are 2 Doctor J, one for the 85 Sixers and the afro versione for the 77 Sixers. Then you have rookie MJ on the 85 Bulls and another bald one on the 89 Bulls. And im about a young dominant Kareem with a mid 70s Lakers team. Some bench guy will be also on multiple teams, if i dont make mistake. But im ok with that

Hi, guys, time for a new UPDATE

I went in full old school mode, and create a lot of classic players: Bob Lanier, Dave Bing, Jack Sikma, Jamaal Wilkes and a lot more!
I made few change about my list: i put Adrian Dantley on the Pistons and made them the 87-88 version instead of the 88-89 with Aguirre.
I put Aguirre on the Mavs and made a nice 85-86 Mavericks team.
I made an 89-90 Spurs team with D-Rob and Terry Cummings, while i change the Bucks from 85 to 84 version. In the 84 version you got also a past their prime Bob Lanier and Tiny Archibald. Here we go with the updated list, 27 teams created so far, 3 to go!

Now, what i should do? Use the 87-88 Jazz and replace with them the 97-98 Jazz, despite the different jersey? Or delete the 79-80 Jazz and made a New Orleans team for Pistol Pete replacing the current New Orleans?

This is what I would do...

Either replace 97 Jazz with the 88 team. And then put 78 Jazz over current Jazz team...since there are retro jazz jerseys. Really you could use either one. But I wouldn't use the Pelicans slot. But that's just me. Times like this it would be nice to have red MC.
