I've come full circle with my Lakers. When 2K15 first dropped I used them but glitches kept me from finishing a season out with them. I tried using other teams, countless other teams, but I got bored or it was way too easy. This Lakers squad is terrible, I've seen them first hand as a fan the past two seasons. The lone bright spot is Julius Randle and a possible guaranteed top 3 pick in the 2015 NBA draft. This time around I won't do the exact same trades or moves that's been made in the NBA, gonna let this things play itself out.

Harden leads Rockets to opening night win over Lakers

The Good: James Harden. After being voted the best shooting guard in the NBA by his peers, James Harden showed why they voted him that against the Los Angeles Lakers. Harden led the way for the Rockets dropping 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assist in 37 minutes against the Laker son opening night. The Bearded One shot 9-of-18 from the field and 4-of-9 from three in the victory.

By The Bad: Jeremy Lin. Jeremy Lin's Laker career did not get off to a good start on opening night. Lin struggled to find his shot as he went 3-of-10 from the field including going 0-of-6 from behind the arc to score 6 points in his debut. Lin did have a team high 9 assist but the Lakers will need him to play the way he did back in New York if they want to make some noise this year.

X-Factor: Dwight Howard. Dwight Howard met his former team again and he dominated even through the boos all game long from the Laker crowd. Howard notched a double-double finishing with 25 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocked shots on 11-of-20 shooting in 33 minutes. Looks like Howard and Harden are ready to lead the Rockets to a championship run this season.

Rookie Watch: Julius Randle. The 7th overall pick in last June's draft made his NBA debut with a nice outing (outside of his bad shooting) in the losing effort to the Rockets. The former Kentucky Wildcat played 29 minutes off the bench and got his first career double-double scoring 11 points while pulling down 12 rebounds on 3-of-16 shooting from the field and and going 4-of-6 at the charity stripe.

The Good: Eric Bledsoe. After the Suns traded away Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas, Eric Bledose was given he keys to the franchise, and so far the Suns made the right choice. In 32 minutes of action, Bledsoe finished with 21 points, 4 rebounds, and a game high 11 assist in the win over the Lakers. Bledsoe shot the ball well going 8-of-17 from the floor and making four of his six three point attempts in the win.

By The Bad: Nick Young. The Lakers super 6th man laid a big old egg against the Suns. Swaggy P only scored 5 points in 25 minutes off the bench for the Lakers has his jumper was flat all night long. Young finished the night going 1-of-8 from the field in the loss.

X-Factor: Brandon Knight. Brandon Knight is the perfect fit next to Bledsoe due the fact he can play off th eball and his a good long range shooter. Knight poured in a game 25 points and 5 assist playing as the shooting guard next to Bledsoe. Knight finished 11-of-18 from the floor in the Suns season opening win.

Rookie Watch: Julius Randle. Julius Randle had a better game shooting the ball against the Suns then he had against the Rockets. Randle went 5-of-9 from the field to score 17 points with 7 rebounds in 22 minutes off the bench for the Lakers. Randle has already stolen some 4th quarter minutes from veteran Carlos Boozer.

Clippers Take round one in the Battle for LA

The Good: Chris Paul. Chris Paul played a staggering 42 minutes as the Clippers defeated the Lakers on Friday night. Paul scored 23 points on 10-of-22 shooting and handed out a game high 12 assist with 6 rebounds and 2 steals as the Clippers racked up 117 points on the Lakers. Paul usually doesn't take 20+ shots a game, but he was aggressive from the opening tip off as he led the Clippers to their 2nd win of the young season.

By The Bad: Jeremy Lin. Jeremy Lin is still struggling to find his way with the Lakers after three games. In 31 minutes, Lin went 0-of-7 from the field and 0-of-3 from three to finish with 6 points, 7 rebounds, and 10 assist. Lin's only points came from the free throw line as he went a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the loss.

X-Factor: Jamal Crawford. Jamal Crawford as already started making his case for another 6th man of the year award. Crawford put in a game high 24 points with 3 rebounds and 2 assist in 29 minutes off the bench. J-Crossover shot the rock at a 50% clip going 6-of-12 from the field, 4-of-8 from behind the arc, and 8-of-8 at the free throw line.

Rookie Watch: Julius Randle. Julius Randle was second on the Lakers in scoring putting in 15 points with 5 rebouinds and 2 steals in 22 minutes. Randle finished the game going 7-of-9 from the field but he was a -18 in the plus/minus column for the Lakers.

Splash Brother too much for Lakers in 109-100 win

The Good: Stephen Curry. Stephen Curry was feeling from all over the court in the Warriors win over the Lakers. Curry did a little of everything has he flirted with a triple double finishing with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assist, and 2 steals in 35 minutes. The sharpshooting point guard went 8-of-16 from the floor including going 5-of-7 from three and 6-of-6 from the free throw line.

By The Bad: Kobe Bryant. The Black Mamba tried to will the Lakers to their first win of the 2014-2015 season, but he probably cost them the game in the process. Bryant struggled with the Warriors throw Andre Iguodala, Harrison Barnes, and Draymond Green at him all game long. Kobe finished with a team high 23 points with 8 rebounds and 4 assist, but he only shot 9-of-27 from the field and 4-of-11 from behind the arc in the loss.

X-Factor: Klay Thompson. Coming off an impressive run during the World Cup this summer, Klay Thompson has taken the next step to become a superstar in the NBA. The other half of the Splash Brother scored a game high 29 points on 10-of-18 shooting in 39 minutes of action. Thompson also pitched in with 4 rebounds, 5 steals, and 2 blocked shots and was a +20 for the Warriors.

Rookie Watch: Julius Randle. Julius Randle had another nice showing off the bench for the Lakers. the 6'9 power forward finished with 10 points and 9 rebounds in 23 minutes. Randle shot 50% from the field and went a perfect 2-of-2 from the free throw line in the loss.

Bledsoe leads they way as the Suns take down the Lakers

The Good: Eric Bledsoe. Eric Bledsoe led the way for the Suns as they handed the Lakers their 5th straight loss. Bledsoe finished with a team high 18 points and a team high 9 assist as he showed off his elite athleticism in the win. The former Kentucky Wildcat went 8-of-18 from the floor in 32 minutes of action.

By The Bad: Lakers 4th quarter defense. After playing some pretty decent defense through 3 quarters, the Lakers just gave up on the defensive end during the 4th quarter. The Suns put up 36 4th quarter points as they put they game away and held the Lakers at bay.

X-Factor: Gerald Green. Gearld Green was a scoring punch off the bench for the Suns in their victory. Green finished with 17 points on an efficient 6-of-9 shooting in 25 minutes off the bench. Green also chipped in with 7 rebounds, 3 assist, and a blocked shot as he was a +7 for Phoenix.

Rookie Watch: Julius Randle. Julius Randle had a rough night shooting the ball for the Lakers in their loss. Randle finished with 6 points and 5 rebounds in 22 minutes, but the 7th overall pick only shot 2-of-8 from the field with 3 turnovers in the process.
