Re: PS Vita version of MLB 2015.
Playing it right now. Can we call this "Vita Impressions Thread" or something?
Anyway, not getting the PS4 version for another five hours so I thought I'd give this a crack as my first experience with this year's version.
I'll have to check out MLB 13 again, but I noticed an immediate difference in swing response in that it's better, and fielder control in that it's more precise and you really have to lineup with the ball instead of magnetize to it, etc. Strike zone also seems a little tall (on PS4 as well I'm sure). But I digress. I'll try and not say things related to the game itself as much as be Vita-specific.
Game's framerate is still the same, but compared to that of MLB 13 it seems like they tried to put in a lot of grass detail and it kind of becomes a chopped mess when you rotate across the screen. I wish they left out the "detail" in that regard. Analog controls are still "nubby" so it makes pitching and throwing a bit tough to work with. Sadly, it's been four years and there's still no option for removing "FOUL" and "OUT" texts (the "FOUL" one is bad because it gets right in the way of my pitching meter for my next pitch), and there's still no damn ball size option. The biggest head-scratcher is in replay the R and L triggers don't allow you to slow-advance/slow-rewind motion on the replay, and instead they are the same zoom-in/zoom-out functions that you can do with your fingers. I don't quite understand that one. Anyway, not hearing much Karros or Lyons at all. Most of their lines are probably removed to save space, but the quick pace also gives you very little time to hear them as well.
I can't wait to try Remote Play with this thing soon!

Re: PS Vita version of MLB 2015.
This will only be available for Digital Download. There is not physical Vita card. Supposedly at Best Buy you can buy the game but it is a digital voucher that you come home and use on the PSN to download the game. Bummer but that's how it is. If you are a gamers club unlocked member I think you can get 20% of the purchase so it's only $15.99. I'm snagging my copy at lunch today.Comment

Re: PS Vita version of MLB 2015.
That's too bad. I enjoy the slower pace and liked seeing this when they added into last years game! One and done I guess.
For me honestly MLB 15 is feeling bitter sweet as it is the first time I can recall hearing of features being pulled from previous versions. Features that I like that immerse me in a baseball atmosphere. As a tribe fan I was already frustrated at the lack of updates at Progressive field but to lose a lot of other small features (ps4 or Vita) is a bit of a letdown.
I have come to expect this from Madden from year to year but the Show has never disappointed me before. I'm sure it will be a great game once I can look past these omissions but I wish I didn't have to.Comment

Re: PS Vita version of MLB 2015.
SO to recap:
BIG POSITIVE- all minor league and created faces look NORMAL. This is huge for me as I can finally not dread continuing my franchise into later years.
BIG NEGATIVE- Batter walkups were removed but all other mini presentations are still in. They always were a little laggy- but man they added a lot. If nothing else you at least saw the player's stats as the walked up- that is gone as well.Comment

Re: PS Vita version of MLB 2015.
Wow I don't know why they took out batter walk-ups. This where you would normally quickly see the players season stats and current in-game stats. Thats a big part of the overall presentation and gameplay. If I see a guy is 0-4 today, I want to quickly see that info so I can pinch-hit for himComment
