Pure analog...
I can't seem to get my settings for hitting to go where I press down on the right thumb stick and that sets up my stride. This new way already sets up the leg kick. Can anyone help me out?

Take a seat...
I'm afraid I've got some bad news. Leg stride didn't make it...It...Didn't make it in this years version! Its gone. :( |

Re: Pure analog...
I played over 300 games using pure analog in 14. I'm only a couple of games into 15 but already getting used to the new analog controls.

Re: Pure analog...
I just finished my first game with directional pure analog, and I don't think it's going to be for me over the long haul.
It seems to be a fine hitting mechanic, and I'm sure many will come to enjoy it, but I'm still left scratching my head as to why they didn't leave the old pure analog method in the game. It just feels too much like the timing and zone hitting methods that are already in the game. If you go with pure analog and timing it's exactly the same as what was already offered in the game with last year's button timing... Just with a stick flick instead of a button press. And if you go with directional pure analog, you may as well just be using the zone hitting that has already been in the game forever. The only difference being that exciting flick of the right stick, and a different take on zone aiming. So ultimately we're left with a pure analog system that offers a nearly identical experience to the zone and timing mechanics that were already in the game, except now we don't an alternative to that style of hitting that offers us anything close to the alternative we had in last year's pure analog hitting. I'm sure I'll settle into something that works for me, but I'm even more confused about this change after trying it out for myself. |
Re: Pure analog...
This was big enough of a change for me not to buy this years version. Hopefully they put it back next year.
