    Diamond Dynasty Advice

I am one card away from completing the Astros collection to get Jeff Bagwell. All I need is Jose Altuve. I have $7000 in stubs right now. I also have an Adrian Beltre card. Would it be smart to sell the Beltre card to get Jose Altuve and then unlock Bagwell? I have Pablo Sandoval as my next best 3rd baseman.

All I can say is I have Sandoval as my third basemen and his defense is good. His arms a cannon from third. His hitting is soso for me .265, 5 hr & 25 rbis. He is an ok 7-8 hitter but what will piss you off I promise is how slow he is. Can't run out an infield hit to save his life. He also clogs up the base paths. He constantly anoys me with his lack of speed.

Altuve is my favourite player in this game.

Safe to say, I would have paid the entire set price just for Altuve.

Getting Bagwell as a bonus is just amazing!

Bagwell has great contact and power so that essentiall cements your 1B and 2B spots for the entire game.

As well as a perfect batter in the 1-2 spot and Bagwell is a beauty in the 3-4 spot.

Altuve has been great for me. I have he and Carew platooning at 2B and when not starting, I use him as my pinch runner. No power, but 99 contact vs. LHP and great speed. Very small strike zone too. Bagwell, on the other hand, I have not been able to hit with at all. His stance is messing up my timing.

Altuve has outperformed any other non-legend player in the game for me, including big boys like Mike Trout.

I don't think you can go wrong with completing the collection and getting them both.

Sell Beltre ASAP if you have him since his rating is going to drop soon unless his performance picks up IRL.

            He's batting .194 with 2 HR and 2 HR in 72 AB

The Rangers stink again this year.

He'll still be pricey since he's needed to get Ryan

No pitcher is worth 50K+ stubs when they only have a 20% chance of playing each game.

I've had Ryan since release week and he's pitched two games for me.

If I could do it over, I'd sell my Beltre now and go complete some other collections with those stubs. But instead, Beltre's locked into my collection and sitting unused, completely off my roster. Harmon Killebrew cost me 3K stubs and he hit more HR (2) in his first game at 3B than Beltre did in fifteen games (1 HR).

Beltre kills righties for me and throws out every bunt attempt towards third. I seem to get Ryan every third game out of the 4 spot.

I personally have no complaints. But I got beltre a while ago for around 35

                      My rotation is:

                      1- Kershaw
                      2- Ryan
                      3- Seaver
                      4- Hernandez
                      5- Niekro

I'd say Seaver gets picked about 50% of the time!

No complaints though, Seaver has pitched very well for me thus far.

I'd wait if I were you. His price is ridiculously inflated right now. Give it a month. He's not worth this much right now. Hell he's more expensive than Cano right now. I'd try a different collection right now.

When people who play the market all day end up with hundreds of thousands of stubs, 50k is nothing to get one of the best pitchers in the game. A 250k rotation isn't really that uncommon in DD.

I ended up selling the Beltre card for 40k. Used that to purchase Johnny Bench card for 40k, then flipped that for 60k. Bought Jose Altuve for 38k.
