    draft prospect

What is your highest rated prospect that you drafted? Mine was a cp with an overall of 88. I might just start him in the majors right away.
Brian Kelly will have ND back this year.

Arizona State will bounce back this year too.

The Cubs will end the streak next year

I scouted a 1B that was a 74 overall 96 potential. I wasn't able to get him but he should be in the majors soon. Kris Bryant type prospect.

I have a 19 year old, 75 OVR SS in AAA right now, but his POT is only 75, too. So I don't know if he's going to make it.

21 YO Catcher named Jamie Pena. A potential, 75 overall. I got him in the most recent draft. He will start in AAA but make the leap to the Bigs quickly.

19 YO RF named Eric McKenzie. A potential, around 67-68 overall. Good hitting switch hitter, really poor defense. He's 71 overall now and DH's for my team.

21 YO 3B named Gregg Novoa. A potential, 71 overall.

Wow, what is the closer's potential and how old is he?

I drafted an 18 year old SS, who is only 5'7, in the 2nd round. His name is Stephen Lentz. He was 79 ovr, with A (93) potential. Started in AA, and tore up, moved him to AAA after the all-star break, and he stayed hot the entire year. Moved him to the majors to start the following season, where he started as a 19 year old, at 82 overall. His potential had progressed to 96 from being so hot in the minors. He's pretty well rounded, with nearly all of his ratings in the mid-high 70's. His steal rating is in the 90's, but his speed is like 72. Contact vs left and right are both approaching 80, but his power is in the 20's. He'll never hit for much power, but he is always on base. Due to his small strike zone, I get a lot of fat pitches with him.

My cp name is Beau Barger a 20 yr old leftie. At this time he's a 63 ovr with a pot of 88 and a b prospect. His stats are 6'5 227 and a mlb eta of 2017.

My next prospect is a 19 yr old 3B Enos Alvarado with an ovr pot of 76 and a C prospect. His ovr at moment is 66 with an eta of 2018. A switch hitter 6'5 190.

Finally a LF Robbie Santiago. He's already at his max at 73 his ovr pot was 72 and an eta of 2016. He's a leftie 5'9 209 a 21 yr old

Oh, I thought you meant the closer was 88 overall as soon as you drafted him. I definitely wouldn't start that closer in the majors right away then. You could stunt his growth long term. I've noticed that closers have a tendency to get hot in the minor leagues (which can increase their potential). Let that guy develop, and he could be pretty good. Do you know what pitches he throws?

He throws a 4 seamer, curveball, and a slider. Question, i also drafted a rf whose ovr is 41 but his ovr pot is 76 with an eta 2025. With the right developing can he make it sooner? I plan on using Robbie as a back up to Bryant. Yes I moved Bryant to LF

If he tears it up in A/AA/AAA then maybe but that OVR is so low he looks like a career MiLB player with a slight chance of a cup of coffee in the bigs.

                        ___

I've done two drafts and I took a 75 OVR/78 POT 3B in '14. I called him up after the ASB in '15 and he is a pinch hitter and gets the spot start. He's hitting like .270 with 1 HR and 6-8 RBI. Nothing special but he can be a decent spot guy and utility player.

I have several stud pitcher prospects but haven't really been able to get a stud position player yet. Picking outside of the Top 10 makes it tough.

                            I drafted a 3B with a rating an overall of 70.

Last year I drafted a SP with an overall of 77 which is by far the highest I've ever drafted.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I picked up a 55ovr/95pot CF. I took him with the 29th pick and he projects as a great contact hitter with 96 speed and great defense. At the moment he is not much of anything.

I have a few mid 70's rated players with mid 80's potential.
