The Legend of NFL 2K5 - Video

If you have 20 minutes, this is definitely worth the watch! I'm 35, so I remember many of the milestones discussed.

Its amazing how long we've been in a relative football gaming desert with no end on the horizon. Given we have only 6-7 weeks until August, I have serious concerns over the likelihood we'll see a competitor to Madden emerge this year.

this was a great documentary. Made me smile remembering the excitement I had while playing this game. and it brings back all my ill-deserved feelings toward EA.

I have given in, M10, M13 and M15 have been purchased...I will not buy M16 and play a full season of 2k5 in its honor. Might even pick up nfl2k4 as I have never played that version

Very well done documentary - comprehensive and seemed professionally developed. I thought the author's question "Why is 2K5 so beloved?", and the reasons he listed near the end were well thought out and eloquently stated.
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

This video really got me back into playing 2k5 with the updated rosters, and it's been a blast. I love this documentary and the game, both so well made. I subscribed because of this video, nicely done!

That is a good video, rewatched it. The older sports games have much more heart than the newer ones. It seems like EA looks for more ways to gimmick-ize their games, rather than improving them.

In the NFL 2K series, you move your player with the gamepad and the player moves instantly, (just like in the 16 bit football games). In the next Gen Madden NFL, you press the gamepad, and your player moves like 2 seconds later...

Not just NFL2K5.....this video reminded me of all the cool franchise features that Madden 2005 had. Some of them were removed, and then re-added, as new features. Some of them NEVER came back.
I just want a hockey and football game where I can spend more time playing my seasons then I spend changing my sliders.
