U.S. Open at Chambers Bay (The Golf Club)
Unless you are a huge fan of WGT, there is only one other place to play Chambers Bay along with the pros this week. Search for "U.S. Open - Chambers Bay, WA" in the Tours section of The Golf Club to play 4 rounds and 4 different setups of Chambers Bay. This is currently available for PS4 and PC, and should be for Xbox by tonight.

Re: U.S. Open at Chambers Bay (The Golf Club)
Quick update
Shot -7 in round 1 this morning, and even left a few out there: http://www.twitch.tv/theclv24/c/6845358
This is also now available on Xbox, although I think the naming structure is a little different so the wind won't be the same. Wind in round 1 was around 7 mph or so, if I remember correctly, so not too bad.
Some updates are available here if interested: http://www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=11245.0
So is anyone playing this? It seems a little quiet over here for all things TGC related, but I know we got a few players over here. Feel free to jump on this week and give it a whirl. It's a fun course. -
Re: U.S. Open at Chambers Bay (The Golf Club)
I will check this out tonight.
I doubt you will be able to capture the debacle that this course is in terms of the USGA even selecting it for an open.
The videos of guys bouncing a ball on the fairway is enough to make me cringe.
I wonder how many guys quit today if they shoot in the 80s or even pack it in before finishing their round.

Re: U.S. Open at Chambers Bay (The Golf Club)
Played the Thursday setup, shot +6 with the Harder Tee shot setting. Really well done on the layout.
Suspended my second round, the Friday setup, but I think after 5 holes I'm even or +1. I'll finish this later today.
Unlike most, I like the course and its nice to see the pros have to think differently out there. Gimmicky, maybe a little. But its entertaining nonetheless.
As long as the USGA doesn't get stupid if a bunch of guy go in the reds, this should be a great tournament.

Finished up round 2 today at E: http://www.twitch.tv/theclv24/c/6853865
One of my worst rounds in quite awhile. So many mistakes that I know better than making. Fell quite a bit behind the leaders, tough day at the US Open.Comment

Re: U.S. Open at Chambers Bay (The Golf Club)
Another tough round 3, with wind in my face going uphill each time. Scratched out a -2, including bogeys on 14 and 15. Was able to get one back with a pretty good birdie on 16, and just held on for a par on 18. Sitting at -9 total, probably 8 or 9 shots back of the leaders.

Re: U.S. Open at Chambers Bay (The Golf Club)
I got the full US Open experience shooting rounds of +6, +6, +2 and +4 for a total of +18 over for the tourney.
I would have missed the +9 cut by 3 strokes.
I made a few horrendous putting mistakes each round. Love this game though!Former Bison, Argonaut, TSN and Sportsnet employee.
