Does it happen when it's a straight steal or on a hit and run?

I've had it happen on both. I'll have second easily and my runner just stops in his tracks.

Try getting in the habit of pressing L1 to advance the runner once the ball is hit/caught. I'm not sure if that'll work when doing a straight steal but it definitely helps on a hit and run.

In previous versions, this used to happen to me all the time on missed hit and runs. Either they fixed it, somewhat, or I haven't been calling for the hit and run as often as I used to.

I never knew how to fix it.

I have only noticed this when I am in a rundown. I will tell the runner to run one way guessing the opponent is going to throw and he will sometimes turn that way but then stop and start running the other way. Is this whats happening kind of?
