Stretched out athleticism ratings cause for concern in CFM?

After seeing some of the ratings being revealed in Madden 16, it is apparent that the Speed/Acceleration/Agility has been scaled down this year, with less guys in the mid/high 90's.

I decided to go back and look at Madden's blog for their improved scouting, which showcases one of the rookie receivers.

Aevry Lewis has 94 speed, 94 acceleration and 96 agility. This is how he stacks up to the top 5 WRs and RBs in Madden 16. Keep in mind that this is the 22nd rated guy in his draft class, there are potentially players even more athletic than him.

Speed:

Aevry Lewis 94
Odell Beckham 92
Julio Jones 92
Jamaal Charles 92
Antonio Brown 90
Adrian Peterson 90
Demarco Murray 89
Dez Bryant 89
Le'veon Bell 88
Marshawn Lynch 85

Acceleration:

Aevry Lewis 94
Odell Beckham 93
Julio Jones 92
Jamaal Charles 92
Antonio Brown 91
Demarco Murray 91
Dez Bryant 90
Marshawn Lynch 88

Agility:

Jamaal Charles 98
Demarco Murray 98
Aevry Lewis 96
Julio Jones 94
Calvin Johnson 93

I went ahead and even compared juke move, since the computer generated guy's are very high.

Juke Move:

Le'veon Bell 97
Demarco Murray 97
Jamaal Charles 97
Aevry Lewis 96
Odell Beckham 96
Adrian Peterson 95
Antonio Brown 95
Dez Bryant 95
Marshawn Lynch 94
Calvin Johnson 90

The computer generated WR, who is the 22nd best talent in his class, has the best speed and acceleration out of the top-5 WR's and RB's combined in Madden 16. He also possesses the 3rd best agility (best for WR) and 4th Juke Move (best for WR).

Does this concern anybody else? I'm all for scaling down the physical attributes this year, but if the generated class comes in way more athletic than the default roster, than this is going to lead to issues in CFM. I really hope the generated draft classes have received the same treatment as the default roster since the blog has been posted.

It does worry me a little bit but I wonder if changing the SPD might have been a decision made later in the process after the CFM stuff was released or taken. I don't have a problem with guys coming into the league with high numbers but if there's a ton of guys coming in that are all faster than everyone in the league then that will be a huge problem.

The screen shot of the generated rookie's attributes is very telling. I would be very surprised if this problem didn't ship with the game as there is usually one or two big issues like this every year.

Slightly off-topic: I understand why they went the direction they did with CFM, but I really hate the idea of random generated classes for reasons just like this. It is so difficult to do correctly. It was such a relief for me during the years where the classes were actually designed because I knew there wasn't going to be any wonky random attribute issues. It is the main reason I can no longer play the franchise mode in this series. I can't trust the system.

What concerns me is he is an 80 OVR and ranked 22nd in value in his draft class. There are only what 4 to 5 guys in this year's draft who are 80+ OVR! So what is the #1 rated player 85 or 90. That's way too high and way too many players in the 80's in a draft class.

Its possible, and more probable, that he is tied at 80 with several other generated rookies and the system gave him an arbitrary ranking of 22. Even so, you are correct in identifying that there are way too many high rated rookies being generated even within the over inflated system that EA uses by default. Scary.

*sigh*

Just another reason why we should have the option to edit everything in CFM, including draft classes.

Understand the concern, but 99% certain that the draft screens are of a much earlier build
