How do you make people Rotate on D
 

How do i make people rotate on Defense? it so irritating to have 4 people stay on the right side of the court when a guy is coming from the left. and have no one budge a inch to guard the incoming score.

where do i go to do this. i try to "user" it but the player im using doesnt react fast enough to get a chance to stop it.

go to gameplan defensive settings, and set soft or hard hedge. u can also set go over or under incase the opponent is very good with pick and rolls.

No, hedging is PnR defense, how far the guy steps out (hard or soft). For what you want to do, set your POE to protect the paint/neutral aggression and make sure you don't have your big set to 'tight' off-ball. The more guys you have on tight or deny, the less help you get.

Defensive IQ of players means everything regardless of your coach settings. A bad defender will always makes mistakes if cpu controlled

You have to do it manually.

I do all my rotations and help defense by myself. Never trust the 2K AI for your teammates.

Slider wise, I have help defense strength maxed out at 100 for both human and CPU. Also defensive awareness + defensive consistency slightly raised.

You have to manually play defense but. Apart from coach settings etc. I regularly call double teams (which can serve as help defense), particularly when the CPU is driving to the rim. On PS4 if you tap L1 it brings up the player icons, and you can choose which defender you want to rotate over to help/double by holding that players icon.

Eg. their PG is driving and I want rim protection, I would tap L1 and hold L2 (which is the C position) for him to rotate over and "double" which serves as my help defense, as he would contest and/or block the shot.

I live by this when playing defense. I probably do this 1 out of every 3 possessions maybe.

playing with defensive setting is helpful but must exercise care. if i set hard hedge on curry but green, who can easily do a pick & pop, my big man will kind of overhelp and leave him wide open. the recovery will be slow.

need to read what the defense gives and adjust. in this case, i tend to control the big man just incase he overhelp.
