Thoughts and impressions so far
I've been playing a couple of games since getting my copy today. Started a franchise with my Texans. Few points:
1) new receiver and db animations are not cheese (at least against cpu). I've had a lot go both ways. You still need common football sense as these are not quick, gimme grabs 2) play calling on offense is more important but still definitely some "cheese" plays. Cpu hones in on what you're calling and they are quick to jump routes if they smell it. 3) the physics of this game is interesting. Momentum is more important as well especially on receiver routes. Running out routes, I tried the catch in stride in animation and the receiver does a good job of transitioning physics to keep self in bounds. 4) the cpu qb still seems to be a completion machine unless adequate pressure/blitzes are applied. I've found it a little difficult so far to generate pressure off the d-line alone. 5) the game does this animation when you break into the open and it looks absolutely awkward. Just doesn't look like anyone is running. 6) still seems to be plenty of takeaways on default sliders, cpu takeaways and not just user picks and whatnot. 7) the players look absolutely amazing and the graphics are superb on the Xbox one. 8) the commentary is still bland and the presentation needs continued work. Would love to see EA do what they do for live or nhl with ESPN or nbc sports. 9) the quarterback throw options are a really nice addition and it definitely feels like you're more in control. It's taking some getting used to but the potential is there and I love it so far. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
