Read option ?

So this might be a dumb question but I love running the option a lot and everytime I do iT the qb ALWAYS hands it to the back. Usually you push x to have the back take it or push nothing and the qb takes it. Did they change it or am I doing something wrong? Thanks !

u must push and HOLD x not just push it

Only time running back gets it from me is if I push X. Not sure what the issue could be for you, but it works like intended for me.

Im having the issue online. No matter what the QB gives the ball to the HB. Offline it works fine though.

To me that sounds like a lag issue if it only happens online. I've run read option online as recently as today with no problems.

Same. I run with the Redskins and have zero issues.

There really wasnt any lag though. At least non that was noticeable enough that it would cause issues. I even tapped X to hike the ball and never touched it again and he still handed the ball off when he should have kept it.

My only issue with the read option is every user defender plays perfectly and disciplined 99% of the time and never falls for it or go's for the RB?! I'd like to have Russell run a few more times a game and keep it but I'll be lucky to get it once a game even if I run it 20x...

I think they've just messed with the timing for the option plays, last year I used to hold A after the snap and let go of the button if I wanted the QB to keep the ball.

This year it seems like you can no longer do it that way, I have to keep my finger off the button unless I decide to give it to the back in which case I have to press A and hope I've done it in time. If I'm honest I really don't like the change.

It cant be intentional though. The point of the read option is to read the guy. You cant do that pre snap.

Agreed, it's almost completely reversed from last year. Very hard to get used to so far. Haven't been able to run with much success with Russell so far

Im considering deleting the game and re installing when i go to bed. There have been people on MLB 15 that did it and fixed some issues other werent seeing. Even offline for me now tapping the button to hike the ball and not touching it again my QB hands it off.
