I did... according to @AskPlayStation this email address is not affiliated with PlayStation and some people are getting codes that were already used and others redeemed code but got nothing... not sure what the full story is because my code worked... didn't think anything of it until other people were having issues so I'm not sure as to what exactly is going on because I've been getting emails from that same address for years and this was the first one with a PSN code to redeem

I wouldn't read anything into this. Most companies like Sony are so big they don't know everything that's going on.

thats what I was thinking. Email never gave me a reason to think it was fake... cause everything advertised is more so promoting either a new game, the ps store or sony rewards plus it helps that my code worked... but I can see why all the questions are coming up due to other codes already being redeemed and the tweet from @AskPlayStation in response to someone asking about that email address, plus The Show usually makes their announcement on theshownation.com not long after doing a promo of some sort, so I don't think it was something they did either

at the end of the day if your code worked enjoy, if it didn't well I really don't know what to say because this doesn't look like a direct SONY or The Show promo

I got the same type of email and I received 12000 stubs ($10 value in PS store).

My son who plays religiously didn't receive anything...go figure.
