Flash forward to this year, and I've actually seen both Off & Def Pass Interference being called (and Def Holding as well) not only in my own games but on videos as well. It does seem like some of it is very scripted, but at least it's there. But lately, it seems like it's been toned down. I was playing games H2H in person and we were getting those flags thrown, but through playing MUT and a bunch of Play Now vs the CPU, it seems like there is one constant where it's ignored...
Receivers vs defenders playing zone
If I'm running a mesh route across the middle, and the MLB is playing a flat zone, the receiver will run right into the MLB, letting the defender impede his progress. This is very frustrating in the red zone as well, since the safeties are also playing zone and taking up valuable real estate.
Am I loopy or just paranoid that these should be calls (since the ball is usually in the air BEFORE the receiver's progress is stopped)? Or are others having this issue?
I know the offense gets enough boosts already, but it still can be frustrating missing out on 3rd down conversions due to blatant Def PI.
