Taylor Takes Over as Bears Owner

Chicago, IL -- The news broke quickly and it stunned everyone who heard it. The Chicago Bears have a new owner. Yes you read that correctly, Virginia McCaskey has sold her ownership of the Chicago Bears to unknown entrepreneur James Taylor.

James Taylor has some experience with software and in the stock markets but it was a complete surprise when it was announced he now controlled the Bears. There was no news of any interest of Taylor buying the team or of the team being sold. It became a Twitter sensation with many fans and players utterly surprised and voicing their confusion.

Taylor immediately held a press conference once the news broke and made a statement to the media.

"For everyone who is hurt or disappointed that the team has been sold, I apologize. I had a chance to jump at this opportunity and I took it. I am fully committed not to making money but to restoring this team to its previous glory. I will use every resource I can to try to make that happen. I hope I will have the support of the players and fans. Thank you for your support and I hope we can make this team the powerhouse it used to be."

It was a mixed bag on social media with fans expressing their displeasure while some believed Taylor's word were genuine. This should be an interesting season for the bears because everything is now unexpected with a new owner at the helm.

Is This Cutler's Last Season in Chicago?

Chicago, IL -- Are Jay Cutler's days numbered? The signal caller for Chicago came under scrutiny last season due to his poor use of audibles and poor decision making. Cutler has been with the Bears since 2009 but as the defense continues to age and get recycled there are some who are wondering if Cutler can step up to the plate and lead this team to the playoffs. The last time the Bears made the playoffs was 2010, his second with the team, and they lost in the conference championship to the eventual Super Bowl winners, the Green Bay Packers.

In the past 3 seasons the Bears have been deteriorating going from 10-6, to 8-8, and finishing last year with a record of 5-11, their worst record since 2004. Cutler will also have to deal with the loss of star receiver Brandon Marshall. Marshall and Cutler have been playing together since their days in Denver, and this season will mark the first season without him for Cutler since 2010. The Bears do have suitable replacements with Alshon Jeffery and rookie Kevin White. They also have star running back Matt Forte in the backfield to carry the load for the team.

Despite all those things the Bears will be looking towards 2015 as the season that could make Cutler's career or end his time in Chicago. The preseason starts against Miami at home and there will be many who will be watching the Bears with great interest.

Hope I can post. Looks interesting. Saw a lot of problems with Da Bears today, but they still had a shot to win. Hopefully, you can bring them back.
