First gameplay videos - positives edition

Wanted to see what parts of these videos everyone enjoyed and were most hyped about.

For me it was a few things:

    Davis block

Pick and roll seems to actually work. It didn't for me much last year, but that may be because I was awful at it.

    Crowd chants and movement.

    That sweet Crawford sig move.

Kind of a redundant thread imo since everything is already being talked about on each gameplay threads.

There are so so so so many positives in these videos if someone can't see them i'm absolutely sure they never ever played 2k15 for more than a month.

Different than i suggested under the video threads is again with bold:

      - Seperation that player gets by dribbling not cheesy but all organic

I think it's really helpful. So many threads! It's overwhelming. I think one thread for all positives/negatives could have done.

I will agree that I had no idea which was the USER and CPU. That's a really good sign. I do agree with the notion that overall there are still some speed issues, but I was really impressed from what I saw.

Everyone already knows about the mouth guard being implemented, but just seeing the Curry free throw routine was jaw dropping to me.

              - Some little additions with the logos, the mouthguard, the crowd seem cool.
              - Davis block, although it seemed it was a canned animation
              - Pick and roll, seemed natural
              - Face scans and some players looking more real, like Z-Bo.

HOT/COLD Feature! It's a super positive and true to life addition which will also make every other game different.

I already see those youtubers ranting by not liking this feature, WRONG!

Not every game is played the same by the players, real life isn't based on just the sole fact of 1 and 0's to coding to play out the same. Players may start off and then if not force the issue can come back into play and dominate by doing right on other ends of the floor. Or they may never ever come to that match at all and we all say it was a bad night for "..." etc. Also the opposite for hot is true sometimes you see average players take over and rise withing quarters or all over the game.

So i want just let devs know that it's a great feature, organic and true to life and true to basketball 101 knowledge by not forcing the issue or finding other strategies, so please don't liste to those youtubers and cheesers. Don't tune or hold off the feature. It sounds great it'll be great.

Yup, plus it deters the cheesers from abusing lebron, or curry or kd. Learn to use other players. I love it.

The OKC video was my favorite! Really good ball movement, The Block, guys running to spots with a purpose!

Then why do we need 3 different criticism threads? That's honestly the only reason I started this. To counter the excessive criticism threads that always pop up on OS.

The problem with the individual gameplay threads is that after a period of time they always turn into nothing but complaints and arguing.

Plus, since there are 5 threads about gameplay, this is could be a one-stop shop for everyone to discuss all videos in one place.

I think it could be a good idea but if what Smoove said is true and at one point he brought his whole bench in and they were all cold then there needs to be at least be some tweaking.

This is obviously a positives thread so I'm going to put something good on here to follow that. The big man dunks look like they work. KLove and Josh Smith's dunks showed me enough that I think if I get an offensive rebound I'll be able to slam it home instead of putting up some contact layup and missing from 2 feet.

                          So many positives to note.

1 thing I noticed and really like is fast breaks. The clipper video you could really see the speed differential and how chris Paul (user) could get out and run without being caught from behind. In years past I had to really tweak hustle sliders to simulate this. You could see Paul draw a defender and then make the pass for the dunk. I can see some really cool pull ups here too in transition as players try to protect the hoop or play the passing lanes. It looked as if the defender was retreating and back pedaling a bit which guys like Westbrook can pull when seeing that. Little things that are big things!

Another positive for me after watching all the videos. You can really see the difference in how the CPU plays with different teams. You saw the Grizzlies look for the post and ran some flex actions. You saw the thunder with Westbrook and Durant look for quick shots of of some pnr's or attacked with small openings. Then you had the rockets who didn't run much and garden would ISO and attack like your playing a quick game online. You can really see how each game and team will provide a different and realistic experience with how they play! Can't wait!

Overall I enjoyed what I saw, it's an improvement over the prior year; so long as 2K continues interacting with their community and perhaps adopt a complete matchmaking system, we might in years to come have a solid all around experience.
