I was wondering if we can change our position during my career? Not just have a secondary position but change it completely. What if i begin my career at the 1 but later decide I want to become the teams SG. Would I be able to do that? That would be a cool feature. As the years go by in your career. rosters change and ppl change teams. It would be cool if you can also go ahead and adjust to those rosters changes as you grow as a player. Obviously im not trying to turn a 6'1'' PG into a 7'1 C. its more like adjusting to your roster. for example if im a 6'5 PG for the lakers and kobe retires. It would be nice to ask coach to put you at the SG position instead of having D russell come off the bench. What do you guys think? I hope 2k can make this happen.

I really like your idea.
Maybe it's just me, but I think it would also be cool if we could adjust our height/weight from high school to NBA. Like going from a 6'6 190 SG in high school to a 6'6 200 SG in College to a 6'6 or 6'7 210 SG in the league. Not really asking for it but something that I would find cool.Comment

I like that idea. Weren't we able to do this on last gen? I would also like to be moved to different positions. Like if I made a 6'7-6'9 SF and got drafted by the Raptors as a starter then they get an upgrade at SF like Carroll then I want to be able to play PF if it means more minutes.Comment

This is a two-edged sword. In older 2K's it used to force you into the secondary position ... sometimes making no sense with its roster choices.
Basketball's "positions" are more and more fluid, so what I wish 2K would do is let us chose:
- Guard
- Perimeter
- Big Man
- Paint
With Guard/Big Man being exclusive and Perimeter/Paint being exclusive.

I remember in 2k13 I had a SG and they made me play PG for a couple games I got so used to it that when they put me back at my natural position it felt wrong lol.Comment

I think it's a cool idea, but I understand them forcing your secondary position. I mean coach is going to put you where he wants and needs you, regardless of what you want.Comment

This is why I wish there was a way we can import out created player to offline game modes such as my gm or my league. I dont really play online because im barely home. Being a franchise guy. It would be cool to import ur my player to lets say a my league. So u can have complete control over your league. Not to cheat but to have roster control. (Limit stupid trades and roster moves). If you would want to jump into a game then u can just use the player lock function with your character. I like career mode but im about basketball. The storyline to me is not a priorityComment

I like the idea. As a whole it would be nice to have more of a say in that matter, at least when you become a (super)star. Like "volunteering" to play out of position. I transferred my 6'8" superstar SG/SF to GSW to see if they would put me in as SF for the "good of the team", but the coach dropped Thompson to 9 mins while having a much lower rated Barnes playing 26 as SF.
I'd really like to be able to slot in where needed when I spent that much time making my player so versatile. It would prolong the fun of a career as well, when we have so little influence in the trade/lineup of the team.Comment
