It feels like the delay from input lag is higher this year..a good half second or more which feels like an eternity when you are trying to quickly shoot off of an unexpected pass or loose puck. Do other people think its worse this year too, or am I just out of practice?

I completely agree with you. We were playing EASHL on PS4 last night and the input delay is really killing the game for me.
There is no delay offline...but the passing delay online is a major issue. Hopefully, EA can fix it...but it was there in the beta so I'm worried.
I'm surprised that no one else is complaining about it. I know there are other issues: poke check too strong, hitting toned down...but the input lag is a game killer IMO. -
