Whipsmart\'s Predictions....

Looks like maybe he knew what he was talking about, huh? They sound very similar to what AlphaBeta reported yesterday. Hopefully these issues will be fixed for the final version, but I don't think they all will. Some of these issues seem like they would require a complete overhaul of the "engine" which drives the game ---- i.e., likely not something EA is going to be able to do in such a short time.

CPU run game will be WORSE than in 04.
Beauty of last year's passing game will be taken away by the hyper-reactive zones of '05.
Quarterbacks will be much less accurate in 05.
Big runs won't be there, as the "school of fish" D tracking hunts you down eventually.
Agile running system will become known as "barely responsive running."
The Matchup Stick will be a backgammon player's wet dream, but not that great for the flow of a football game.
The Big Hits and User callouts will be cool.
The risk/reward factor of 04 will be diminished, as big plays, other than streaks, will be limited. Last year, if Darren Sproles made a couple guys miss, forget it. This year, he'll be tracked down by an 88 linebacker who was 10 yards away at one point.
It'll look better.
Dynasty will be really deep and all that.

The "Darrin Sproles" one is the only issue that concerns me. The rest i can live with.

Obviously that wasn't just guess work. He knew something, or was in business with AB.

Wow. I remember people calling him crazy at the time, but AlphaBETA confirmed almost all of his predictions.

You seriously think they were just guesses?

Random guesses like that WITHOUT letting anyone know of your insight deserve to be called crazy.

Obviously, they weren't guesses, he had insight that AB had to make those "guesses".

And once again, I'm not worried about anything until we hear from the FINAL version, not the BETA.
