FIFA 16 - The Little Things Thread

Post your "little things" that are cool about FIFA 16.

I just had one where the CPU double teamed my forward on the touchline. It was simply an incredible animation.

Another one where I cut through and dribbled across a defender, and he took me out pretty blatantly - pretty awesome animation.

Post up videos too if you have them!

I saw one from the ref thst was very cool. There was a 50-50 ball that my guy got to first (that's cool enough in its own right) but he fluffed his 1st touch since I was sprinting. The CPU came in and controlled it while my guy ran into him and tumbled over. He complained about a foul while the ref was motioning no foul and to get up.

It happened so fast and naturally that I had to go back into replay to absorb it all.

Re: FIFA 16 - The Little Things Thread

I am having trouble playing the game as I am watching the AI in awe. So many little things this year. Had one play where I got behind the D and sent a nice ball out in space down the sideline. My guy was easily going to get to the ball, but the keeper came off his line all the way to the sideline and rocketed it in the stands to clear it. I mentioned this in impressions, but scored a nice sliding goal and my guy got killed by the goalie. He started celebrating on the ground and getting up to run to the sidelines. The animation was so real looking. Still shocked to see the AI backpassing, building up, switching the play, and using tactics.

Clearing the ball while facing your own goal seems to much more realistic this year. You had better put it out the back or the sideline or you might very well pay for it. It's much much harder to clear the ball upfield. No more being able to bang it halfway up the yard while sprinting back towards your net.

and being able to search for CF/LF/RF and Wingbacks.

Rakitic went down in the box while I was holding L2 and the ref called nothing. It's like he acknowledged he went down a little to easily, it was pretty cool

The way the crowd at Emirates roared furiously when there was a sketchy tackle from a West-Ham player on Walcott inside the box and nothing was called.

Did they get rid of the score updates when your playing your league game? That was always a nice touch.

I'm still on a tournament in MM but I hope they didn't. I played the next Live Match fixture Leicester-Arsenal and there were score updates from other matches! They even have the feature in Live Match, I don't think they removed it from Manager Mode.

I know in Fifa 15 before your game there was an option to get scoring updates(Goal News) where you check on and off what game you want updates on. Did not see this last night when I played 16.

I like how players can get hurt, but not seriously hurt after a challenge. Last night vs a buddy I was chasing a result and my buddy was holding the play with up with his back to my goal with Dzeko. I put in a reckless challenge and he went down, foul called, and he's grabbing his leg. After a few seconds he gets up and is fine.

i like how the simplest tap in can be botched by not just me but by the AI. I was defending a 2 on 1 and Montero rolled It into the box for Sigurdsson to tap it in and he skied it into row z. It was glorious.

Played my first league game in the Irish league, and the weather was "showers." The amount of rain varied throughout the game, and by the end it was just a spitting a bit. Was just a really neat atmosphere in the small, and crappy town park on a Friday night under the lights with the rain coming and going.

Yeah this is pretty cool and worrisome at the same time lol.

In the summer league cup, had a crazy game that had me smile at the end. A 5-2 game that ended with the AI giving up 3 penalties, 5 yellow cards and 2 red cards. I finished myself giving up 1 penalty, 1 red, 4 yellows and 1 of the yellows was jumping for a header and bumping the keeper which was pretty cool.

I've played about 20-ish games since Thursday and I've been happy with the way fouls were called. This one was pure madness but it was interesting to see as I've never see the AI ref be so aggressive in any soccer game outside of Football Manager lol. Definitely made for an exciting game in a different kind of way.
