MyCareer Ethnicity
Does anyone know if your ethnicity will alter your family in the game? Or will we still have an african american family even if we're a caucasian character? Given the emphasis put on your family (especially sister and mother), it may ruin a little bit of the immersion. May be better to just create a fake character for the sake of not losing the immersion in each cut scene.Tags: None -
Re: MyCareer Ethnicity
I was wondering this too. Maybe we're adopted.
I remember the SP game even changed your family's skin tone based on the character you made. I'm sure 2K is capable of it. -

I am thinking they will have family match the player. That only makes sense.Does anyone know if your ethnicity will alter your family in the game? However, if the family is only one ethnicity no matter the player, just imagine the player was adopted as a baby. [emoji3] [emoji12] Just kidding. Lol!

Re: MyCareer Ethnicity
Putting this in spoiler tags for those who don't want to know. It's about your relation with the family and your nickname, so only click the spoiler if you want to know.
SpoilerUnfortunately, we can't be adopted. You get your nickname from your mother when your father puts headphones on your mother's stomach and you start dancing around in the womb. This is how you get your nickname Frequency Vibrations. You also have a twin sister who is your manager.Comment

Re: MyCareer Ethnicity
Come on Johnny. One of these voice was a white actor trying way hard to sound like a black dude.
I hate the low key racism by 2k in this mode. Surprised nobody really called them out on it yet."I just wanna be heaaaaaaaaard"Comment

Re: MyCareer Ethnicity
It's hard to yell racism. It does shock me however that they don't really pay attention to their full fan base. At the end of the day, I'll just create a fake character and move on. But it does suck not getting the same level of immersion as other.Comment

Re: MyCareer Ethnicity
Yeah I feel you on that, its an extremely urban background and not everyone is from a place like that.
But srs, how do you quick reply?
Where's the button?Comment

Re: MyCareer Ethnicity
personally I always find it funny when people complain about your character always having to sound black in 2K. Like every other game out there where you create a character with voice acting it's always a white guy voice... yet you never see threads complaining about that. lolComment
