    TNK - NHL 16 ALL-STAR SLIDERS

    TNK NHL16 ALL-STAR SLIDERS

    (FRANCHISE VERSION 2.0 )

I have re-started my Bruins franchise with these updated sliders on 11-26-2015 and am now using the most recent roster update along with the LATEST TUNER. I created the necessary/big name AHL players that were not yet in the game and moved many players from the CHL junior teams to their respective AHL teams and also updated some ratings for young players like Domi, Duclair, Draisaitl, Nurse, etc so that they are not scratched or sent down because of their ratings.

I'm using yours from last year with a change here or there and they are working great for me at least. I was in the top 5 scoring last year with the Rangers and this year after a few games I really have to work for goals, which is a good thing.

Hey TNK, looking forward to your sliders, I tried to use the same ones I used last years but they don't seem to be exactly what i'm looking for. Finding the AI is out shooting me by quite a bit every game.

I should have them posted by Sunday night at the latest

I have been tinkering with Game Speed and Acceleration both at 1

If you guys could try that and let me know what you think, that would be great

Other sliders I have been focusing on and would like feedback are:
          Manual Passing = OFF
          Pass Assist = 6

Very excited for your sliders, I pretty much use them in every game you do them for, so I can't wait.

Couple of notes about the sliders this year:
Puck control needs to be higher to have more loose pucks.
Pass Accuracy should be higher as it brings more of the players skill into the mix.
I tried a few games at 1 speed and 1 acceleration and it felt a but sluggish. I have moved to having the CPU with 2 and Human with 3 as I feel the CPU always uses the "speed burst" right off the bat so I needed to compensate for that a bit. I hate always losing races to the puck.

            Anyway, can't wait.

I agree with pass assist being set higher. Nothing worse than having an open man and having a pass go nowhere near him.

                Re: TNK - NHL 16 ALL-STAR SLIDERS

                OK - testing now with
                GAME SPEED at 1
                HUMAN ACCELERATION at 1
                CPU ACCELERATION at 0

Things feel much more fluid now

Sliders should be posted Monday afternoon/evening.......loving the way things are feeling right now and very happy with the initial set. I'd post them right now but it's way too late.

Don't forget to rate the thread/sliders on here.....I haven't even posted the set yet and somebody rated it a 1 - I hate that crap.

THE SLIDERS HAVE BEEN POSTED IN POST #1 OF THE THREAD

Please play some test games and let me know what you think.....I'm more concerned with feel/flow at the moment than I am with stats. I want to play as long as we can for periods without having enormous shot totals.

BUT.....I want these to play like real hockey - not fly up the ice each direction just ripping shots like crazy. I want these sliders to be geared towards smart/efficient hockey plays.

                  * Break the puck out, not a jail break race down to the other end
                  * Gain the line and setup in the offensive zone
                  * Cycling, Cycling, Cycling
                  * Working the half wall - high low, high low
                  * Shoot when the play dictates a quality shot

                  * Strong positional defense - not just lining up hits left & right
                  * Work the puck behind your own and ice the puck if you are hemmed in defensively
                  * Pinning against the boards

I think these things can help us get longer periods.......let's get some serious testing games in and adjust from there

I love this slider and am using it. the only change i made was having lines on auto. can't and won't manual change my own lines.
Let go Twins, Vikes, Wild, Golden Gophers go.

With 10 minute periods, these sliders lead to pretty realistic numbers in my experience.

I will play a few games with these tonight. Very similar to what I've got. But if I can extend period length to make it feel more like hockey and less online like with 6 minute periods. That's ideal.
