Hopefully this year is way better. Well by now we all know what goes on in here. tell your stories of you games, moves and what not. or just come and rant.

i just played my first game, and it feels so good to see that Defense matters again. made a guy quit in quarter 2 lol. but now im stuck with some arbitration thing. <_<.

They have cut the cheese!!

My sim style of play usually only ever gets me to seed 2/3 but this year I really feel I can go all the way. All the cheesy rubbish my opponents do doesn't work! I really feel like this year your knowledge of basketball will get you wins

I played through gauntlet and beated the amythest players with bronze players so hopefully this sim style continues on.

you know the cheese is gone when landry fields is shutting down rudy gay.

My third game and I won by 15+ points again and he quit at the half.

I say this not to be cocky but in amazement as last year I simply couldn't play this well.

Here are the things that aren't working

- charge cheese - you don't get sucked into the player and it's not powerful anymore

- double teaming - the recovery speed is normal so the open man will punish them every time

- chase down blocks on the break - they can't catch you with super speed

- baseline cheese - the defence is good and will stop them

I am absolutely loving this. I can feel the frustration from people trying to cheese and failing. This is the best year for online play ever!!

This is my first year participating in this mode and so far I'm loving it. I mostly play very conservative on defense and pass first offense, and so far I've done well against opponents who just shoots three and just play out of control offense

Haha, so true. I call him Jabba the Hut. So much easier to say! I'm really having fun this year so far. Hope it stays like this when defense is possible. Been seeing a lot of people who toss it in half length of the court with their turbo button stuck. Annoying at first but pretty easy to stop.

No more charge cheese, baseline warping, double team cheese, zig zag cheese. I love that contested shots are now fadeaways. No better feeling in this game than making a 2K15 patch-made bum quit.

10-0 to start out, was about to be 11 but XBL went down while I was up by 15 with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

Playing online is so enjoyable and fun now. Ball movement and smart play really matters so much.

Having a weak point guard going into the 3 Gold seed is really hurting me, guys with Kyrie are absolutely destroying me


Is there any way to grind out MT points or just domination?

Gameplay wise is great, of course there are problems with the badges, but my most concerns are
A) non iconic passing seems to go wherever..
b) too many games the servers have taken me out of the game. Arbitration is called, the game says that it won't count results and guess what, I take a loss

c) I have TOO many visibility issues,
Clashing kits,(white away jerseys for all), black courts, black balls,ninja players.

I mean gameplay wise the game seems to be a big improvment, it would be a shame to turn cheese from gameplay to visuals

I am in seed 4 and the game changes so much after the 3 gold player limit is removed and people are running with lebron,curry,durant etc.in MY opinion its total chaos, all people do is throw bombs all the way down the court, i swear each possession is 4 seconds long, not fun at all.

It really is terrible, almost worse than 2k15 in the fact that speed differences between players are very noticeable this year. For example if your opponent throws in bounds to lebron and you don't have a LeBron covering him he's just gone straight to rim even though my players started half way back lol. Was much better in lower seeds
