Madden 16 XP gains and simulating

Is all XP equal? If I play a game and put up the same stats my players would had I simulated it would I gain the same amount of XP?

If I supersim and just play the 4th quarter will this effect my xp gains? I've noticed drive goals pop up while supersimming

I know to do game prep every week, but I'm not sure if I need to play every second of the game to get the XP I need to develop an up and coming team.

Obviously I could get more by playing and padding my stats, but for your average user who just plays regular/realistic do I lose out on XP (and how much!) by simming some or all of a game?

XP gains for players are by-and-large governed by Weekly / Yearly / Milestone goals. There is a small amount of XP rewarded for each completed Dynamic Drive Goal - you cannot achieve DDGs in simulated games - but you can trigger any of the Weekly / Yearly / Milestone goals regardless of method the game is completed.

You can also earn XP with Game Prep, as you noted.

As such, given DDGs, there's a small advantage speaking to XP earned for playing every game as opposed to simulating. Per game, the difference is minor, but that will add up over the course of a season and possibly cost you around 1200 XP per player (assuming 16 game season, each player completing 3 DDGs a game worth 20 XP apiece).

I knew all of this, but I had to comment on what an excellent response you crafted.

How do you pull up weekly goals for players? Do they change on a weekly basis or are they always the same...
