Off season salaries too low
Does anyone know what affects how much a player will sign for in the off season, besides overall rating of course.. Players such as Harrison barnes, trust in Thompson, and Bradley beal are all going to command near max salaries in this upcoming off season, but any of these players can be signed for 10 mil and under in the game..Tags: None -

Are you playing my League? if so you can adjust the factors that influence free agents decisions to sign.Does anyone know what affects how much a player will sign for in the off season, besides overall rating of course.. Re: Off season salaries too low
Yes, its in my league.. But its not the willingness or unwillingness to sign, its the amount at which they do so. In the past, I have been able to bump up potential, but it doesn't seem to influence as much as it used to.Comment

Re: Off season salaries too low
I noticed this too.
I know there is a "hometown discount", but there is no way Drummond resigns for a 3 year/28.5 million dollar extension after the first week of the season (as in my current MyLeague).
I will just personally edit that into a max deal. No doubt he's a max player in today's climate.Comment

Re: Off season salaries too low
It's because of a player's overall rating. Nothing more, nothing less.Comment

Re: Off season salaries too low
Yea it's the rating that does this. Was the same for 2k15. Player ambitions MAY change where a player goes but will still sign for the amount according to his rating. Simmed a season & did like that Durant wanted a massive contract.

Re: Off season salaries too low
I wonder if changing their ambition or what to 100 for financially stability will do anything. Probably not.... We may to edit each player overall rating in who we think may get max contracts. For example if Bradley Beal is an overal 81 we may have to change to around a 87 right before the last game of the NBA finals then change him back to whatever you think his overall should be after he signs. Or manually edit his contract.
Hopefully this can be patched because that would be a pain in the neck to do, but we want sim so....Comment

Re: Off season salaries too low
The only compromise I have figured out is to manually redo the salaries. With the "top tier" agents (in the 80-85ish range) such as barnes, beal, Drummond, horford, etc.. They ask for around 7-12 mil a year, i add 10 mil to that number that they sign for, so 9mil becomes 19 mil, 12 mil for 22, and so on.. And "second tier" (72-79ish) just double the number, so 6 becomes 12, 4 becomes 8, etc.... All those come close to what would actually happen, imo..Comment

Re: Off season salaries too low
This is what ive decided to do tbh not sure why they made they changed the salaries players demanded this year. It doesn't seem like they touched that feature in years (it wasn't broke but they tried to fix it?)Comment

Dude thanks so much this has been a massive help but what do you do for like 3rd tier free agents? The only compromise I have figured out is to manually redo the salaries.
