How many cards do you have?

Just started really collecting a couple days ago because I was getting my lineup how I wanted beforehand and that was cutting into my MT quite a bit. Seem to be collecting teams quite quickly though and am at 480 cards, what about you guys? Think I'll shoot for the Diamond MJ this year which will be a grind to say the least lol.

I don't buy VC so every year I give up on the collecting aspect of the game. I want to do it, but sadly this is a money mode. I probably will barely get Ray Allen if that.

Yea, on 2k15 I never even came close to getting a diamond Lillard. I only had around 200 cards because I sold all my cheap players for good Onyx/Ruby guys. I personally think it's impossible to get a notebook of cards without spending any money while maintaining your real life priorities. As it stands, the only great thing about MyTeam is the ability to customize your logo, jersey, and court. That's gotta be the most revolutionary creation feature in any sports game.

100% agree. I always had to play scheme over team in this mode because my team was never on the caliber of people who spent money.

You don't need to spend money to get a good team or collect players. You just need to know how to snipe.

I would really like a few extra filters in the auction house.

For collecting cards it would be nice if there was a filter for the cards you already have in your collection, so you can't buy a card you already have.
Also it would be nice to have a filter on the badges.

I also noticed a bug, whenever you set a filter for a team in the team search and you go back to change it the filter resets to all teams. Really annoying.

You can search for missing cards right out of your collections this year, did you know that?

They need to give MT points for completing collections. That is the only way to complete all the collections without spending real money, I think.

That was a nice addition. What would also be nice is to be able to do the same search from within your own My Auctions inventory.

It would also be nice if they put in a little work to adapt the game to PC so that one could type out numbers instead of scrolling back and forth.

Well it works on the players, but not on the team items. It was all the different jerseys that confused me last year. Anyway, it's an improvement.

Oh man, well that sucks. It was for jersey collections that it was hardest to figure out which were needed to complete.

In regards to the OP -


I left for work today and was at about 1230.


I have not spent any money (except the extra $20 bucks to get the Jordan version) Just buying and flipping cards.


Without completion bonuses you are gonna to have to treat the auction house like its a separate game mode and grind for all the MT you can get.


Really curious to see how long it will take to get to Jordan - there going to have add a ton more cards though because I've bought almost every possible card that is gonna be available for 1k or less and I'm not even halfway there.

No money spent on packs (beside couple cheap packs bought with my own earned VC) and completed the current dominations. I'm at 178th card ugh. That Ray card is almost impossible unless I spend money

Game hasn't even been out for a month man. Just put the time in and you'll get there soon enough.
