Getting Paul George to work at the 4
Using the Pacers in myLeague. I can't figure out how to make PG effective at the 4 unless I go all freelance with him. Problem is that all the plays for 4s are post ups or occasionally mid range. Even having his play preferences being P&R, mid range, 3 pointer and iso, he just sets screens for other players and plays like a regular 4 unless I take control of him.

Now you know why he isn't happy about playing the 4 in real life :-) -

Ask Sam Pham, I forgot his name here. Search for him in Youtube. He'd have an answer for that kind of questions, he knows a lot of plays and playbooks.Comment

Beat me to it.
The current default freelance plays use the bigs mostly as screeners.Comment

Re: Getting Paul George to work at the 4
i play with the blazers and always run 4 out 1 in when i have myers leonard in the game.
he will stand at the 3 point line most of the time. run pick and pops with him all day and you can get open shots. Paul George is way more athletic so you can get driving opportunities with him that i cant with leonard.Comment

What's wrong with simply calling plays for him?Comment

Re: Getting Paul George to work at the 4
The current plays are mostly pick and rolls where he's the screener when playing the PF, or ends up with Paul George posting up. I'm assuming the OP is looking for more plays where Paul George plays more on the perimeter than in the post.Comment

4 out 1 in, Swing, and Warriors are all good freelance playbooks to bring one of the bigs out of the paint.Comment
