Re: any word on patch 3
Rex also said , im pretty sure, that there will be a fix for players resigning in the next patch, other than that, nothing has been confirmed but it has been two weeks since last patch, so here is to hoping they are turning it in this week for approval....

Re: any word on patch 3
If the first 2 patches were primarily bug fixes, will this patch be more of fine tuning some things (e.g. xp systems)?
Has anyone heard anything about this?Comment

Re: any word on patch 3
I actually hope they don't change anything gameplay-wise with the next patch. I've never been as happy as I am currently with Madden game play. If there's a resign bug, I'm fine with fixing that, but I really hope they leave gameplay where it is!Comment

Re: any word on patch 3
There really isn't a need to rush this patch.
2 patches in 5 weeks is a record amount of patches within that time frame for the Madden team. Maybe 3 if you count day #1 patch.
I don't want a patch rushed either.Comment

Yeah because we all know gameplay is perfect lol. Even though Rex himself said gameplay is no where near where he wants it to be & acknowledges many flaws in the game, don't touch gameplay because it's the best Madden has ever been. You guys with the "don't touch the gameplay" comments crack me up. I could list numerous issues that need to be addressed but I won't beat a dead horse
I'm all for the addressing as many gameplay issues as possible. Obviously major issues will probably have to wait for Madden 17, but if they're able to address some issues in a patch then why not? Oh I get it you guys are worried about them messing up another area of the game by patching gameplay right? Well that could be said for any issue that they patch gameplay or not.Last edited by JKSportsGamer1984; 10-14-2015, 05:38 PM.Comment

Re: any word on patch 3
How many of those "numerous issues" that you feel need to be addressed would be added in a patch? If you are talking about legacy issues, those usually won't be fixed in a patch. For instance, some of the blocking needs to be addressed where a tackle or guard will just stand still and not block anyone. I don't feel something like that will be addressed in a patch, more likely, during game design.Yeah because we all know gameplay is perfect lol. Rex might state on Twitter to people that submit video evidence of this or that and state, we are on it, but in a video with Ryan Moody, he said he feels game play is in a good place.Comment

Yeah I get it roadman, I guess what I'm trying to get at is I don't want EA to get complacent with gameplay. The fact is Madden has come a long way & I applaud the effort & direction put forth by this dev team, but it still has a long way to go. We are only judging Madden compared to previous Maddens when in reality we should be judging it on where it should be in 2016.How many of those "numerous issues" that you feel need to be addressed would be added in a patch? I think Madden 16 is a good game (on the field) but there are still many legacy issues & aspects in the game that we're done better in football games from the PS2 era. I just get worried that EA will get complacent & not continue to be innovative hearing all of these "don't touch gameplay" comments that's all. I get your point though.Comment

I agree with what you are saying, but based on Rex's interviews over the last few years, he doesn't sound like the type to be complacent.Yeah I get it Roadman, I guess what I'm trying to get at is I don't want EA to get complacent with gameplay. CFM needs the serious overhaul and he said that is something he wants to work on for Madden 17, that and commentary.(as far as the main focus)Comment

Re: any word on patch 3
Agreed. CFM definitely should be the main focus next year. I'm personally tired of every game feeling like a play now game lol. That said, gameplay still needs a lot of attention as well. EA is a big enough company where they should be able to focus on every aspect of the game. That basketball ball game that came out a few weeks ago proved that there's a lot that can be done in one cycle (if they choose to)I agree with what you are saying, but based on Rex's interviews over the last few years, he doesn't sound like the type to be complacent.

Re: any word on patch 3
Rex is the first EA gameplay guy, who I really believe knows what gameplay flaws exist in Madden in the same way that we here know it. Unlike us, he has to deal with the actually reality of making the game. Going forward, the gameplay shortcomings in Madden will not be because of complacency, ignorance, apathy, or an antithetical ideological perspective, IMO. It will instead be about a difficult decisions based off of effective utilization of resources while serving too many different masters, so to speak.
While it seems to have gotten better, I don't think that EA the parent company will ever allow this team the type of freedom that our pals in Navato have.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: any word on patch 3
I would love for them to bring in a fictional broadcast team. 2k5 really did it right with their broadcast team. I would rather listen to Dan Stevens and Peter O'Keefe than any team currently on tv.
In terms of franchise... PLEASE put in formation subs based off of your schemed playbook(and allow custom ones in that setting).
Obviously i know that these won't be done in a patch lol, this is in response to comments on their focus next year.

Agree with formation subs, I know a lot of people liked that broadcast team, but I was in the minority. I thought their voices sounded like finger nails running down a chalkboard.I would love for them to bring in a fictional broadcast team. 2k5 really did it right with their broadcast team. However, that is for another time.
I'm not sure if they will get rid of Nantz and Sims, they might, but they are recognizable voices to the buying public, like Madden and Sommerall used to be for Madden.Comment
