Change Defense Scheme
How can I change it so when I'm playing a game it shows my team as a 3-4 instead of a 4-3 scheme. I play as the Broncos which run 3-4 defense now but in the game it lists them as a 4-3 and when showing off the team it lists 4 defensive linemen.Tags: None -
Re: Change Defense Scheme
Finally figured out a way.
You have to change your playbook to a 3-4.
Not sure why, but even if your designated coach's playbook is a 3-4, it won't register it in game.
It only showed my 3-4 defense when I had the 3-4 playbook selected.Comment

Re: Change Defense Scheme
So if you change your coaches scheme to 3-4 and switch to a 3-4 playbook in your cfm it won't show that in a game?

Re: Change Defense Scheme
So is this confirmed? If i take a base 3-4 team and want to change them to a 4-3. All I have to do is change the playbook to 4-3 and my coach scheme to 4-3 and then during the lineups during the game the graphics will show me as a 4-3???
thanksComment

Re: Change Defense Scheme
I'm having this problem too.
I changed the Rams to a 4-3 scheme and the intro graphics at the beginning of each game still show only 1 DT and 2 MLB's.... it should be 2 DT's and 1 MLB.
I set my Defense playbook to the generic "4-3" one too, but the intro graphics still won't switch over.
If anyone knows a way to fix it please let me know.Comment

Re: Change Defense Scheme
Well, that is a good point...I was in coach mode in season 1 and mistakenly left "fire coach" on, got canned for missing the playoffs by 1 game, switched to owner mode, bought the Titans, and then hired a new coach, lol.
I did switch to the Carolina D playbook, maybe that impacted it? Also switched to attacking 4-3 scheme wise, so a lot of variables with my example, but it does display correctly, so it is possible.Last edited by Fusker; 11-03-2015, 04:29 PM.Comment

Re: Change Defense Scheme
OK I'll try switching my defensive playbook again. I'll be sure both my playbook and my coach scheme is 4-3 (or something 4-3 related like attacking 4-3) and I'll see what happens.Well, that is a good point...I was in coach mode in season 1 and mistakenly left "fire coach" on, got canned for missing the playoffs by 1 game, switched to owner mode, bought the Titans, and then hired a new coach, lol.

Did you switch anything on the offensive side? Like did you also choose Carolinas offensive playbook? Not sure if that would have an effect..
I'll also try adjusting the "player scheme" too within that same coach screen, I'll make sure my DT1 and DT2 and my MLB1 and MLB2 are set to something 4-3 related. Maybe that's it...
It's a minor annoyance anyways. It's just a pre game graphic... but I kind of want it to appear correctly, lol.Comment

Re: Change Defense Scheme
I think I read something about this being an issue if you are using Owner Mode, it will not change if you still have the default coach (i.e. Ken Whisenhunt at the Titans will show a 4-3 during the game intros) changing the coach will change to their default scheme, while playing as a Coach in CFM will change as you make changes.Comment
