Updated Conference Realignment Guide for 2015

    SEC:
    Under Conference Rules:
Change South Carolina's locked rivalry to Texas A&M from Arkansas.

    ACC:
Use triangle to swap Maryland with Louisville. (You can do this right away, just click triangle when you reach the ACC and grab Maryland and swap them with AAC's Louisville. Then take Maryland and Rutgers to the B1G Ten.)

    Big Ten:
Add: Maryland and Rutgers from American Athletic Conference.

B1G East: OSU, PSU, MSU, Michigan, Indiana, Rutgers, Maryland
B1G West: Minny, Wisconsin, Neb, Iowa, Illinois, Purdue, NW

    Under Conference Rules:
Rename: Leaders division to East. Legends division to West
No Protected Rivalries (will grant 8 instead of 9-game conference schedule)

    Sun Belt:
Add: Idaho and New Mexico State from Independents.

    (No Sun Belt divisions)

    Conference USA:
Add: Old Dominion from Independents to East Division. Western Kentucky from Sun Belt to East Division.

C-USA East: WKU, Marshall, ODU, MTSU, FIU, FAU, Charlotte
C-USA West: So Miss, UTSA, UTEP, La Tech, Rice, North Texas

    American Athletic Conference:
Add: ECU, Tulane, and Tulsa from Conference USA; Navy from Independents.

AAC East: UConn, Cincy, ECU, USF, UCF, Temple
AAC West: Navy, Houston, Tulane, Tulsa, Memphis, SMU

Pac-12 Conference Championship Game Location moved to Fight Hunger Bowl.

American Conference Championship Game to "Best Record Hosts"

    BCS Bowl Tie Ins:
Delete the American Athletic Conference's bowl bid.
Change the Big XII Champion to the Sugar Bowl.

I just wanted to add here that the Big Ten is going to 9 conference games in 2016 (year 2 of any 2015 dynasties you start) so you will need to flip their protected rivals to "on" to achieve this effect. Change Minnesota's rival to Michigan and Ohio State's to Illinois and you should get good cross-divisional rivalries for most- with apologies to teams stuck with Rutgers and Maryland as a cross-divisional rivalry

            What I did:

            IU-Purdue
            UM-Minn
            OSU-Illinois
MSU-Iowa (used to be a season ending game in the 70's)
            PSU-Northwestern
            Maryland-Wisconsin
            Rutgers-Nebraska

I didn't think it was fair to make Nebraska and Penn State play yearly while OSU and Michigan get easy games.

I'm trying to remember how to switch SCar's rivalry to A&M without it making a 9 game conference schedule. I remember that someone figured out how to do this a while back...

Yeah I realized this too late. I've got 9 games in my Florida dynasty this year...beat Gerogia and figured 'oh good i only have vandy and south carolina left', only to see Auburn scheduled the week before FSU.

Hey Rk, I used this one last year and it was perfect. Will this be the same for 2016? If not, could you post the changes that will be needed for 2016-2017? Thanks in advance.

Re: Updated Conference Realignment Guide for 2015

With the Big Ten I would try to make as many of them real crossover games from this year as possible. There are only three crossover games per team, so if you set one of them correctly that's all but two games that are guaranteed to be correct for each team.

I also add Appalachian State, Charlotte, and Georgia Southern from Teambuilder. I replaced UAB (not playing this year), Idaho (dropping down to FCS next year) and UMass (bad team and an independent so conferences aren't affected). Charlotte is in Conference USA (Eastern division) and Georgia Southern and App State are in the Sun Belt.

It's really weird that Conference USA's divisions have different numbers of teams. Is Coastal Carolina joining next year to balance them out?

Re: Updated Conference Realignment Guide for 2015

I think coastal carolina is making the jump to fbs in 2017.

question is, what team should be subbed out for carolina?

In my new dynasty, i'm thinking:

                      Appalachian st instead of idaho
                      georgia southern instead of umass
                      charlotte instead of UAB
coastal carolina instead of ? (new mexico state? texas state? north texas?..)

Also UAB is coming back next year. Charlotte isn't a good team, Coastal Carolina probably won't be initially either. So I'd say next year swapping out Idaho and UMass for App State and Georgia Southern makes the most sense. App State and GA Southern are two of the best teams in the Sunbelt. I think the objective is to have the best 117 (or however many teams) in the game for your dynasty.
