My Own Private Idaho: An Idaho Vandals Dynasty (NCAA Football 14)

Hey guys! After a long period of thought I have decided to start an offline dynasty as a coach for the Idaho Vandals! I was either going to play as Idaho or Umass, but I ultimately went with Idaho because I don't like the MAC very much.

I will be playing as an independent this season before I join the sun belt next year. I hope yinz enjoy!

Re: My Own Private Idaho: An Idaho Vandals Dynasty (NCAA Football 14)

    About Idaho:

Idaho is a school located in Moscow, Idaho. Football was never really their strength, and that has showed in recent years. Their last season with at least 6 wins was in 2010, since then they have not won more then 2 games. They are playing as an independent this year after the Western Athletic Conference stopped playing football. They will join the Sun Belt next year.

    A New Hope:

Idaho alumni Sean Meehan has arrived to turn the Vandals into a powerhouse. He says his main coaching philosophy is "a good offense is the best defense." He hopes that the offense can put up huge numbers in the future and hopes the defense can at least be average.

    Rules:
    Sliders: authentic
    Difficulty: All American
    Roster: Pastapadre
    Playbook: Idaho offense, 3-4 defense

Vandals Run Game, Defense Struggle In Loss.

Denton, Texas: Idaho simply could not get the job done at North Texas today.

The first quarter was mediocre for the Vandals, with a field goal from Trent Cowan being the only score. They also allowed a touchdown run from stud running back Reggie Pegram.

The Vandals offense exploded in the second quarter, with quarterback Taylor Davis finding tight end Michael LaGrone and wide receiver Najee Lovett for touchdowns while also getting a 2-point conversion. For the Mean Green, Pegram also scored on a run.

The third quarter was just like the first, with another Cowan field goal and a Pegram touchdown.

The Vandals defense was able to stop the Mean Green for most of the 4th until the Mean Green drove down the field and scored on another Pegram touchdown to go up 28-24. With 3:26 remaining, Taylor Davis desperately tried to get something going, but was picked off on a pass intended for Michael LaGrone. The Mean Green would score on a Pegram run and won the game 35-24.

Coach Sean Meehan was highly critical of his defense, saying,"I can't believe we let them score like that at the end, that is simply unacceptable."

Meehan also would like to see more production from running back James Baker, who managed just 41 yards on 15 carries. Meehan said, "We can't win games if our run game is nonexistent."

Idaho (0-1) plays in Wyoming next week, while North Texas (1-0) will be in Ohio to face the Bobcats.

Thanks for the corrections. I never followed Idaho in real life so I didn't know these were wrong. Although I did think Chac was a weird name so I guess chad makes more sense.

                              Vandals Get Blown Out

Laramie, Wyoming: Idaho played terribly all around in a 7-47 loss at Wyoming.

Things started out dull, with no score at the end of the first. Wyoming was the first to score in the second quarter, with quarterback Brett Smith connecting with wide receiver Jalen Claiborne for a touchown. Wyoming then scored on a run by running back Brandon Miller. Idaho was able to get a touchdown late in the quarter off a run by backup running back Kristoffer Olugbode.

In the third, Wyoming kicked three field goals while Idaho was unable to score. Idaho was still only down by 16 entering the fourth.

The Vandals defense fell apart once the fourth started. Brandon Miller scored on a screen pass to increase the lead to 30-7. After Idaho quarterback Taylor Davis threw a pick to Blair Burns, the Cowboys scored on a ten yard run from Brett Smith. Davis then threw another pick and Wyoming scored on a Miller run. The Cowboys then kicked a field goal after the 6th Davis pick on the day. The game ended in a Cowboy victory 47-7.

Vandals head coach Sean Meehan was furious after the game, criticizing Davis for the picks and the defense for their fourth quarter collapse. He was also mad that running back James Baker averaged only 3.1 yards per carry. "No winning team has a bad run game," said Meehan.

Here are the stats from the game. (Note: Njoku Bradley is really Bradley Njoku, I just changed his name after I played my 4th game of the year, so this table and the next one have him as Njoku Bradley.)
