    WWE 2k16 Slider Discussion

    hey all --

    with this years game playing well out of the box, i thought i'd fire up this thread in hope that we can fix these problems (those that are curable within these numbers/bars) and really polish this great wrestling experience.

    let's just start with a general brainstorm and see where that takes us. here's what i'll add:

    - i use the hard difficulty as a base. i'm not sure if this will come into play ever but i'll get it out of the way.

    - i always have finisher strength/foreign object strength at max. these are (and should be in game) huge momentum changers in matches.

    - i use the momentum rate option before every match realistically based on the matchup. if i want realism in my "sliders", why wouldn't i base the match around realism as well?

    i'm hoping that if attribute editing has a great effect on gameplay this year, that mixed with some great sliders, we can make this game what it seems to be REALLY close to achieving: wrestling nirvana.

    i like the idea of a lower reversal recovery rate as the management of reversals is absolutely crucial this year (love this feature). the same may apply to stamina, but i haven't played enough to see if stamina will be an issue.

    anyways, enough of me. here's to a great year of "wrasslin'"

    here are the slider options in game. all values are on a 0-20 scale, with 10 being default (besides Chain Wrestling Duration [20]).

          Only thing that really needs changing is the finisher strength, and you could lower stamina

            I think the game plays great out the box. The only thing I've changed in my time playing is reducing reversal charge 5 clicks. I played a good bit of games on Hard but for some reason couldn't get a finisher to stick. Most matches took me a min of 3 finishers with CPU health bar in red before I would get the win. I initially chalked it up to playing on hard as problem since I don't remember it being a problem on normal difficulty. I might just go back and increase the finisher damage to max and go back to hard to see if that makes a difference. while I like seeing the CPU kick out of finishers, I don't want them kicking out of 3 on a mid level match on Smackdown lol. I might just play on normal until I get a better grasp on submissions too. John Cena (me) tapped out to a basic armbar from DB (CPU). No major arm damage prior, don't think i was in the red either. He just slapped on a basic sub and within a few seconds I was tapping out. Not the first time either while playing on hard.

                  These sliders are for CPU vs CPU matches. I haven't done any roster rating changes yet, and it plays great. CPU literally had a 30 min match between Ricky Steamboat and Ric Flair. A lot of near pinfalls, both wrestlers being laid out, some outside the ring action, and rest holds. Steamboat won with flying crossbody. AI does have its quirks, but the match was amazing

                    i haven't played enough to answer this with much confidence but i'll need to run a few matches on both to see which plays better/most realistic.

                    i'm super pumped to get off work and run some matches/testing. i like a lot of the numbers on Chiefs' set above, may start somewhere near there as a base. (i really like the high stamina cost)

                    another thing; i only want matches with slow builds to be over 15minutes. realistically, any match that gets more than 15 minutes should tell a good story. i don't want a filler singles match on Main Event to take 25 minutes, haha.

                      Run a match for a "Main Eventer" vs " Jobber". The Main Eventer should win most of the time. Then it's a matter of just adjusting attributes.

                          Did a match with Kevin Nash vs a 123 Kid caw. Match lasted about 5 min and Nash dominated. Gonna slowly start working on tweeking attributes to further separate Main eventers from mid card from jobbers

                              They should work for both. If you want it to be more new school I'd lower the stamina cost by a couple notches. I believe the high stamina cost causes the cpu to do more rest holds.
