Patch 3 Is En Route

According to Mike Wang Patch 3 should be finished this week and shipped off to MS. My question is this...is there any way that I can backup the current files with the current patch so that if patch 3 messes up the optimization of the game I can go back to 2? I know last year, patch 2 was the best as far as optimization and once patch 3 came, it messed the optimization up again. Is this possible...even if I have to play Steam offline?

Shhhh...just play along with it

On the real though, it would be an equal amount of love. We just have less 1st party restrictions that 2k has no control over. I don't understand why they don't submit cross-platform patches at the same time for everybody in the first place unless there are PC-specific problems like with the previous one.

and no, i don't think it's possible. unless you want to go the codex route which makes it possible to install it patch by patch. that's probably the only way.

Maybe for one of the smaller, early patches, but we definitely didn't get the big gameplay patch any early. I'm pretty sure we got that one after PS4.

We're working on PC-specific issues such as the commentary to try and get it fixed for all configurations, but as far as I know there shouldn't be any major delays in releasing the PC patch. I'll let you know when I have something more solid than that.
