In regards to holding penalties

So i just played an online connected franchise game against a human controlled team, in which I was called for a total of 7 offensive holding penalties (the most ive seen against one user in one game before this was four). Each holding penalty was on a run play. This was a 8 min qtr, no accelerated clock, all madden game. This league has all the sliders on default.

My question: is there some sort of exploit that allows a user defender to force a holding penalty? The fella I was playing against was "usering" his middle linebacker for the majority of the game, and on most of my run plays, he seemed to be jetting toward/through the o-line. With that, on these occasion, it made it look/feel as if he was purposely attempting to draw the holding penalties.

I have the gameplay recorded on my computer and will cut some clips to get a better look into it, but figured it was worthy of asking around. I also need to look into the penalty trait on the various guys that were called for these penalties as im sure they may have played a factor, but 7 holding penalties against just seemed out of the ordinary. Or of course, it may have just been luck of the draw (which unfortunately, i have very little luck when it comes to madden...). Thanks ahead of time for any input offered on this.

I've seen running excessive hurry up offense lead to more penalties. Usually false start though. Only see it every once in a while.

It was probably just a random outlier.

Was there a pattern in who was flagged for the penalties?

OL Awareness being low plays a factor it's best to try to have them 80+. Not to mention having the 'noraml' or even better 'disciplined' traits to avoid the flags. Those are the in game checks you need to be aware of first.

Second, if they were against the same player see above, if it was vs multiple players see above. I've never heard of a glitch, or way to 'FORCE' holding penalties.

Third check the leagues sliders, you can view them under settings, if they're 'over 50' it will exacerbate the issue. As penalties are tuned to match the real life averages, IMO they do a good job on default this year, as our league previously always had to increase them a bit.

i for one dont believe that it is random


i think its all based on if you send a blitz, like someone stated above, running no huddle leads to more holding calls

i have a few more theories i believe in but gonna keep to myself because i feel like it adds to my madden game

The one thing I notice about holding penalties when I am on Defense is when I control a D-Lineman ill engage and perform either my power or fitness move and you will see an animation that shows you being held while trying to perform the move and the flag comes out and you are like nice thats a hold..... but every time its on the Defense on one of the DB's!!!
