    CPU-CPU Matches

Got a few questions for those that run CPu-CPU matches regularly:

Is it just me, or is there a glitch that is causing the CPU to ignore a pin attempt for the purposes of breaking it up in a 3- or 4-way match? I've had this happen more than once.

What values for Pin Escape are you guys using? I reduced everyone by 20 across the board, which seems to work well at mid- and upper-levels, but becomes questionable at lower levels. Of course, there is always the question of what's an appropriate match-ender; I recently had a Finn Balor/Miz match which Balor won with an Avalanche Falcon Arrow. That seems "reasonable" to end a match, but should we be at a point where we expect a finisher every time?

Finally, is ANYONE seeing a submission win? I'm almost NEVER seeing the CPU pull off a submission win on Hard, and it is WAY too passive for my tastes on Normal.

Still use testing one v one but I cannot get a submission win either. I have lowered submission defense as well and still nothing.

      Re: CPU-CPU Matches

I've started getting some submissions, but there's been a good bit of work.

I decided to experiment with Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Asuka CAWs. I modded things as follows:

I used the Sliders from the Attributes thread, except with the Stamina Cost set to midway and the stamina regenerate set to 18. Having the stamina to execute the move seems key; they seem to let go immediately as soon as they run out of stamina.

Everyone in my Universe had their submission defense lowered 20 points.

All three characters mentioned had their submission rating increased to 90.

All of the finishers were submissions. For Charlotte, her ONLY Finisher was the Figure Four. Becky Lynch's ONLY finisher was the Fujiwara Armbar. Asuka had the Cross faced chicken wing and ankle lock as finishers.

All three characters' Holds and prone grapples were set to work towards the body part being worked (Arms for Becky, Legs for Charlotte, Head and Legs for Asuka).

The Front Facelock Grapples for each person were changed to work the body part. All of Becky Lynch's front grapples are Arm moves. All of Charlotte's worked the legs. Asuka had an equal split of the two.

The Medium Grapples were also modified to work the appropriate body part. All of Becky's worked the arm, and were the bigger Arm moves like the shoulderbreaker. Only half of Charlotte's were changed, in part due to the lack of leg moves and in part due to a few being moves she uses in real life. Asuka's were split evenly.

Finally, for Charlotte and Asuka, the running grapples were changed to affect the legs.

I played three Becky-Charlotte matches, a Becky-Asuka, and a Charlotte-Asuka. Becky Lynch won all of her matches, and won three out of four with the Disarmer (twice on her first attempt at it). She won one match with her pumphandle suplex finisher. Asuka won her match, though she won with a heel kick signature and not the crossface.

Still... 3/5 submission wins were a LOT more than I was seeing before.

I can't personally get a submission win either, so it does not shock me that the cpu struggles as well..unless its the cpu that slapped me in a submission.
