Madden Rookies - Can I PLEASE Just Change the Horrible Names?!

This is a plea to EA... I do not want to bash this game, I really love the game play this year but this CFM and EA's desire to lock everything down is so immersion breaking it is hard to continue playing.

First rookie draft... here are my top 10 rookies by name:

1. Matt Prater - Stud OL named after a steroid using kicker
2. Tre French - come on!
3. Storm Doolittle - /facepalm
4. Jaleel Smith - the first of 2 Smith's and 2 Jones's in the top 10 this year
5. Cesar Skinner - 0 for 5 in names i want to keep
6. Oscar Smith - brothers i guess... except one is white
7. Leventrice Jones - THIS is the most tolerable name in the draft?
8. Tre Jones - they even play the same position
9. Bryce Heurta - great pairing there
10. Akeem Francois - so one french-ish name is not enough for my top 10?

I get it - I do not understand or agree with it - but I get it, you want to lock down CFM, but can we at least change the names so that i want to continue playing? I want zero of these guys in my CFM and all i can do is start over.

What am I missing about editing names and names only that would be so bad or game breaking or hard?

I'm not sure what the issue is. Couple google searches and you realize many of those are legit names.

Not disagreeing with a word you said... some REAL people have stupid names. We can agree on that. But if it makes me (and many others) frustrated that we cannot change even the names of the players, then that is a bad customer experience and any decent company would weigh that against the cost/resource to accommodate.

Food for thought... Bryan Fischer did a piece on college football names called 14 for '14: Best names in college football. Maybe we should blame the parents.

We should be able to edit names and numbers of every player in the game while commish'ing a CFM or running an offline CFM. No question.

We should be able to edit names and numbers of every player in the game while commish'ing a CFM or running an offline CFM. No question.

This. Ridiculous that it's been multiple years now with 0 customization. That would in no way affect their game play to be able to get rid of the horrid generated names.

Didn't a patch come for online for XP that has customization?

Maybe this is a preview of things to come???

We should be looking for some clues for what's in store in the future which is also based on the interview in late August from Rex.

Him and Derrick Alexander made up a good receiving duo for the Ravens in the late 90's. With Vinny Testaverde I think we had a top 5 passing attack.

Yep, CFM needs an overhaul, so, we might as well see what Rex and company have up their sleeves to turn CFM around next year.

Sounds like it's a high priority.

There are plenty of threads within the last year to choose from regarding CFM and the lack there of.

Saw a video where someone had put them all together, was surprised there were so many it was pretty funny. I actually like the variety of crazy names.
