Diamond Dynasty MLB 16 - Going Forward

What are we looking forward to with another year of DD coming up? I personally can't wait to see what legends and throwback cards they have in store for us.

    1. I fully expect throwback Ichiro to cost a FORTUNE on the marketplace. His overall should sit at 96-97 and with his speed and defense...yeesh. Beast.

    2. $25 Opening day pack. Really interested in what that price entails. That's a steep cost and has me really curious. My hope...My hope is that is a pre-cursor to high demand legends. I said it in another thread but if $25 could guarantee me a legend that costs them more money to include (Griffey for example) then I'd be all over it. Yea its steep but I can understand the financial part of making that money back. They just need to the right amount of legend players to keep the market fresh.

Can't wait to jump back in come March.

I agree, the market last year was not good at all, it was way too easy to get the elite players. In madden and nba its much harder to get those high end players and thats how it should be. Also i hope they bring throwback cards every week or something not just at the beginning of the game, it would be an awesome addition to diamond dynasty

Which reminds me. I hope they've been playing 2K for the gameplay modes they have within MyTeam. Fielding an all bronze team to earn more stubs, challenges within games to earn more stubs...Just more incentives within DD to keep things fresh when we don't feel like playing against other people online. They have lots of options to build this into a juggernaut like MyTeam and MUT. This type of mode brings a new audience if they get the right modes and certain players.

I didn't start playing MUT until last year, but the amount of gameplay options they give you in MUT is insane. There's so much to do, and DD could definitely learn a thing or two from this.

Set-piece scenarios like MUT's Solo Challenges would lend themselves perfectly to DD. It would basically be like implementing The Show's Community Challenges into DD, but with more structure and a sense of progression.

It would be nice if they implemented some type of league or tournaments. I can't think of any non-clusterfu**ed way to do it but if possible, I'd love to play. DD became stale, game after game with very little if any reward

ya maybe like break it up into regions or sumthing like that? The only way im giving DD the time of day this year is if Quick Counts finds its way there....After getting spoiled in franchise mode i cant even make it thru 4 innings of starting each batter at 0-0 counts!

Card variations was a must. As a dedicated DD player last year, am very excited with these additions. Tbt Arod card is the DREAM. Hope all these throwbacks are RARE.

Everyone you play has Harper, Trout, and Ted Williams amongst other elites it seems, like mentioned above, i wish it was somehow harder to get such a good team.

                    It is December, though.

Even back in April/May when i was playing.

But i guess there's nothing you can really do if people buy stubs and buy their players.

I think some exploits contributed to how easy it was to acquire cards. It may have been a different story if the stub producing Community Challenges and Marketplace bots didn't exist.

that means the market was good. This is a toy. I should able to get any card I want without any difficulty. This is for fun. Anyone should be able to get any card of any player they want without some kid charging a million tokens or what ever

No you should not. It should be very difficult to get Mike Trout. That's part of the mode it shouldn't be easy to get an all 90 team in a week. Part of this mode is playing the market and realizing who to sell or when to sell a certain player. If it was how you said then why not just toss all diamonds and golds in the standard packs and everyone can be stacked right away. That's not what this mode is. You should have to grind to get a great team if you pay no money. Personally I find the grind fun but maybe I'm in the minority.
