So I think Beds and the 2k staff do a decent enough job with the ratings, but they have too many masters to fill to be completely ruthless and to rate player's weaknesses accurately. Most notably, defense, speed/quickness/acceleration, and tendencies.
The lengths/wingspans and badges will all be edited as well.
Every time I have done this on my own in past 2k games it's worked out to a MUCH more fun and realistic game and you can tell the difference between NBA players. This is a LONG process to do 30 teams.
These edits will be using the full scope of 25-99.
Example:
Chris Kaman speed = 27
James Harden on ball d and help defense CONSIDERABLY lowered to the low 30s, etc.
Kevin Martin strength = 26
I have no hardline "rules" yet for these rosters, but as I search for more info on %age - rating conversion rates, I'll let you know.
Example:
45% 3s = 99 3pt rating
For right now, most of these edits are going to subjective to the editors opinion, but I would like them to be somewhat uniform across the league to make the players accurate to scale
Example:
John Wall should be rated very high in speed and quickness, slightly higher than Mike Conley, but much higher than Jeff Green, who would be much higher than Paul Pierce.
Ideally, these ratings would be discussed here, especially any time there is any discrepancy between opinions in the community.

I'm looking for hardcore watchers of NBA basketball to help me completely re rate every player in the game. I want to do it team by team, accurately reflecting real life advanced stats. I think one OS member per team would do the trick.
