2k experts please help how to do I dribble without getting ripped
Give yourself some space. If you see another defender coming to help back up or pass the ball.
Learn the dribble moves and don't keep the ball exposed too long. If you're waiting for the play to develop use the post animation. Just a little example but see how I didn't walk straight into the defender and kept the ball out of reach. http://youtu.be/_pQDAxZ6QOU The ai and guys online reach a lot at times so you have to be ready to make a move. https://twitter.com/versatile_1983/s...65307579445249 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

can i understand on this play u actually wanted to dribble to left and ended up going into the paint or u wanted to change direction and purposely wanted to go into the paint? i didnt see a lot space there and dribble right into the paint without proper crossover moves can expose yorself to high risk of turning the ball over. what i saw its simply the use of left stick to control where u went. execute some moves to go into the paint if this is what u want. simply using the left stick input is not enough. |

In the first video I noticed you dribbled into traffic into the elbow area of the court. One thing to make note of is that the elbow is a turnover "hot" spot meaning you can pretty much expect to lose it there - alot.
The solution for that one is to not dribble into the elbow area especially with more than one defender there. Unless you have a lane to the basket, keep your dribbler outside the three point line. This will help you with overall spacing as well. In the other video, as I think was said above, you just need to keep the ball on the side of your body away from the defense. You kind of showed the ball to the defense without meaning to and it got taken away. With dribbling, I think the tendency is to think you have to be fancy with the ball and be an iso master when you don't. Just keep it simple. I'd go into practice mode and practice getting the ball away from a defender. I'm not sure if you are running plays or not but if you are just freelancing, I'd recommend running plays it so you can follow the play art and keep spacing in check. |

I goal was to make a quick string drive to the left and finish with a layup or dunk. What I got is what you saw.
Dribble moves hold he player up and the automatic crossover pushed my guy all the way to the left into a defender. I got the patch and don't see the number of contact animation turn overs I did, but now that I am paying close attention the turn overs are related to the collisions. My player is dribbling the ball off of the other players legs and arms. If I keep space between me and the defender, get no penetration which in turn reduces the effectiveness of the offense. I don't take a high number of shots but usually get the defense to collapse so I can kick to the open or hot hand. How would you have driven the ball left but not to the left edge of the key |

The first video I never switched from the right hand to the left but Rubio still managed to steal the ball. That type of steal rarely happens to me I was trying to get s good collection of videos and thought that was an interesting steal.
I am running plays with full play art. Today I have had mixed results. When I run the pick and roll moving the ball to the pick side helps with turn overs at the point of attack but after I decide to drive all bets are off. If I want to minimize the chance of a turnover I have to run wide, but this makes it very difficult to make a play. Driving around the pick and closing the gap between the picker and my player allows for a good pick but usually a contact animation kicks in and spoils the play. |
