Re: Question about floaters
Definitely miss a lot of wide open floaters in team Pro Am. Have stopped using the Curry layup package at least 5 different times because the game decides to do a floater when I press square to shoot and it ends up missing, instead of just taking it to the rim, multiple times in a game. The Curry package will even do a floater instead of a dunk sometimes when you're holding R2..Comment

Re: Question about floaters
Floaters scale off of moving shot close (and by extension; dimer, floor general, heat level, hot spots, offensive consistency, etc.). The tear dropper badge helps the success rate a LOT. Like most shots, they will go in at a higher rate if they are less-contested and triggered closer to the basket. I've also noticed that floaters that have a good angle to bank in will go in more often.
Like in real-life, the floater is a high-risk, high-reward maneuver and by nature has a lot more 'luck' involved than a standard layup or dunk, so there will be times where a good one will brick and a bad one will swish.
The animation seems to be somewhat important. Some of them (the one-handed flip for example) seem to drop at a higher rate.Comment

Re: Question about floaters
That's probably what I might be doing. I'll lab some more and try it out later, thanks for the tip!
