Not getting the VC salary when fouled out. (MyCareer)

Hi guys, everytime I foul out myself in order to get the connections faster, I don't get my VC for finishing the game, why is that? I'm losing 500 VC everytime I do it...

Try calling in sick to work everyday so you can get to the weekend faster, then ask your boss why you're not getting a paycheck.

Smh. He's playing the games tho so if this was really life he would actually still be getting paid.
Do they not pay nba players because they foul out? No.

Anyway to the OP. They patched that glitch. I think. So ppl can't just foul out and get vc essentially for free. What you can do if you want vc is get up by 15+ by half and go to quit it will say ask out of game and it will SIM to the end with vc. Idk if they took that out too but try it.

NBA players definitely won't be getting connections if they foul out every game on the first quarter. It's a cheap way of playing, your character will end up with horrible tendencies that are going to make him bad online. Good look playing park or pro-am with a 100 foul tendency.

So what if you 'actually' foul out in a game? Does anyone know the criteria they are gauging this egregious cheat? Let's say you've picked up 3 or 4 going into the 4th. You need to foul late in the game to save clock and give your team a chance. Do you not receive VC because you intentionally fouled? Is this based on fouling out in the 1st two 1/4ers? I'd really like to know specifics.

I did this in last years game and it was a grind. Just the sheer mind numbing boredom alone should warrant those cheepos at 2K to give you half your game salary even if you do foul out right away. This is just another prime example of 2K fixing someone 'gaming' the system to get SCRAPS of VC, but doing nothing to any of our other requests. Yes scraps, 300 VC per game is nothing compared to how much an attribute upgrade is. MyPlayer is living virtual paycheck to virtual paycheck.

For those wondering, don't worry about foul tendency. I have a C in my squad that did this and he has no problems. He gets fouls for all the normal reasons and nothing out of the ordinary in ProAm. Besides, you can easily play your way to a new tendency once you've reached your goal and start playing for badges.

Everything you're saying is plausible, fact is you enjoyed the unfair advantage. Would you prefer 2k make you sit through the whole game without having the ability to skip to the end if you foul out? That way if you're in a tough situation near the end of the game, you could still earn your VC without waiting 30 minutes for the game to finish. Maybe they should also add a pop-up every 5 minutes asking if you're still there, so you don't go do something else. The "NO" option should also be highlighted by default so you don't spam A while doing something else.

I personally enjoy anything that cuts down my time on a meaningless game against the Orlando Magic, 76ers, Bucks, etc. If 2K had us sit through games whether we were playing or on the bench that mode would die out. No one would find that enjoyable.

The MyCareer portion of the game is a grind. The story mode doesn't even last for multiple seasons so you really aren't playing for much visually. There's no offseason or anything of substance happening during the playoffs. It's a true act of contrition. Can you grind long enough to build your player up? And if you can go into each game, play, should be worth something. I've listened to the same NBA pre show I don't know how many times.

I honestly don't see the harm of people playing every necessary game and fouling out. If you want to make people lose game checks because the coach doesn't play them I understand that. Maybe YOU should come up with better solutions to deter people from fouling out of games. Forcing people to sit through meaningless games just to earn a stipend is ridiculous.

Fouling out would be the only reason they would force you to sit through the game. it's very hard to foul out unless you're trying to exploit. Don't want to play meaningless games? Sim through the date. Otherwise go ahead and foul out without receiving perks.

Your tactic is extremely unfair to the players with integrity who earned all the badges and upgrades legitimately.

I wouldn't call spending 25 minutes on a game you don't want to play an exploit. Simming through the date and receiving perks would be an exploit. You make it sound like fouling out takes 5 minutes and you receive 1K VC and an attribute after every game. Like I said in my first post, it's a long boring road. The only reason we have MyCareer is to have an incubator for your MyPlayer. Very few actually enjoy the story mode. They don't even make a big deal out of winning the championship. Do me a favor, make it to the playoffs, lose in the 2nd round and then tell me who won the championship. That's how big of a deal it is.

It's not 25 minutes, it's about 5 minutes. And people were earning around 700+ vc whilst fouling out in higher difficulties. All while the players who play legimitately played 30 minute to 1 hour games. I don't mind though, the more I play the better I get, and you can't get certain badges if you're out here fouling out or simming through games. If you win finals MVP you get the championship DNA badge.
