Bang-bang charge/blocking fouls

Why do defensive players flop instead of taking the body contact when I try to draw a charge? Either my player flops and there is no collision, my player decides to stand his ground and body check the ball handler, or the ball handler stops on a dime and changes directions unrealistically when going full speed. Currently you can draw more charges at halfcourt than you can in the paint.

Here is Russell Westbrook going into Bogut with no real collision and no call late in a close game. He runs through a 7' 250+ lb man like he wasn't there. Earlier I had the exact same thing happen with one of the best players in the league at taking charges in Kyle Lowry but it was KD going into him.

Another example. https://youtu.be/W_tNbQ3MgbQ
First attempt wasn't a charge but the second one was. Again, no collision. What happened to adding weight to players?

Adding a flop button to begin with...why?

Because that's 2k logic. I'm so sick of cpu acting dumb, they just fall with no charge like you mentioned. And I hate that I'm getting blocking fouls without me actually doing anything. Person drives into paint from the baseline and I cut him off but 2k decides to bail him out and make me try to take a charge when I didn't want to and I get a foul. Unless I'm a big man I can make the cpu go out of bounds sometimes. This game is just awful how hard is it to fix these complaints

One of the things I literally CAN NOT stand about 2K is how they address the things they've overlooked before a game comes out via patches.

Okay so they made it (maybe) too easy to get stripped or lose the ball while driving into the paint.
Now I have clips where guys are literally morphing through my body phasing their whole right arm with the ball through my being and not losing the ball.

People used to abuse charges, when in reality all you had to do was slow down and not spam dribble moves.
Now you can't draw a charge if your life depended on it.

It's one extreme to the next.

For the life of me I'll never understand the decision to up strips on gathers in the paint. It made sense in 2k13 since you literally had no way else to stop a dunk.

With blocking being prominent, I feel like it should have been turned down if anything.

EXACTLY bro, there's NOOOO reason my 6'8 finisher should fear driving the lane when there's nothing between the rim and me other than a 5'11 point guard.

I'm the same way. 6'6 inside SG, and if the center gets drawn out(Who am I kidding, I'll go after that C too if he's in my way), and there's a guard in the paint, I'm coming for blood...

...only to jump 2 feet in the air, **** back, and get dragged back to the court to enter a strip animation.

I do not mind this animation, but it's easily a 60% or higher success rate. On top of that, 9 of 10 times it's a turn over if you don't just get the rip. If it's not a rip it's a foul, which gets you a free pass to reset the defense.

I feel like you drop it to a 35% success rate where it's a rip every 3.5 drives and it's perfect. Guards should be able to strip on long animations, but if I'm already taking off...No. especially when it's a block if the D collapses anyway.

The other problem is that it makes drive and kick harder for 2 reasons:
1. The strip will pull you out of pass animations if you pass from a layup.
2. Hitting steal instead of block forces tipped passes. So it's a catch 22.

Not a fan of the strip animation either....when have you seen a strip when one player is driving into another head on? Lol

Also agree on the charges, hopefully they make them useful again without reverting to the half court mess next year....
