My initial thoughts.

We have the the better defense, they have the better offense, I think both teams are solid on special teams.

I think the biggest difference is in the o-line units. Their o-line is insanely better than ours IMO. I do think we have more dangerous threats as receiving targets but that doesn't matter if we can't block long enough or if manning can't get the ball downfield effectively.

I like our defense against anyone, I am not sure what Wade has planned for Newton and that's offense.

I think the Broncos will battle tough and keep it close. I think it will come down to a game winning drive in the fourth qtr

Seriously though, the key here is for Denver's O-line to protect Manning because if they can't then I could see it being an ugly ugly game.

This is gonna be amazing. I'll be watching the game with all Broncos fans, so I hope Cam is dabbin all night long.

My first take and I will probably revisit this closer to the game:

Carolina starts hot and gets out to a sizable lead, 14 or 17 points, one of those TDs coming off a turnover. And never looks back. Broncos make it look respectable, but it's never once close. Panthers by at least 10.

Early line is Carolina by 4. I thought the NFC title game beatdown would have pushed that a bit higher.

And I'll be rooting for the storybook-ending to Manning's career.

Hoping to see my alma mater's, arguably, greatest player win his final game on my NFL team's home field. That would make me happy.

It won't give me heartburn if the Panthers win though.

Denver's defense vs Cam Newton should make for an interesting matchup.
