Suns fire Jeff Hornacek after a disappointing 14-35 start

(February 2, 2016) - Jeff Hornacek has reached the end of the road as head coach of the Phoenix Suns, a month after they decided to give him a second chance.

The team announced Monday that Hornacek was relieved of his duties and that assistant coach Earl Watson will serve as the interim coach.

Phoenix began the season with playoff aspirations after posting records of 48-34 and 39-43 in Hornacek's first two seasons and signing free-agent center Tyson Chandler in the offseason.

Report: Suns interested in hiring Luke Walton or Steve Nash in the off-season

(February 4, 2016) - The Suns have already fired head coach Jeff Hornacek after giving a second chance, due to it being impossible for him to turnaround the season. Even though it was the front office's fault, Hornacek is easily the scapegoat.

One report says that should the team ultimately choose to go in a different direction, there's already Luke Walton as a candidate that has the edge above the others. Even without Kerr, Walton led the Warriors to a historically successful season.

Another candidate for the head coaching vacancy in the off-season is Steve Nash. Although reports have said that he isn't currently interested in "trashing" the franchise with his coaching abilities having no experience whatsoever, the Suns will continue to convince him and may hire him in a minor front office role this season so he can get some experience in.

Sources: Suns suspend PF Morris and SG Goodwin for the scuffle

(February 10, 2016) - It keeps getting worse for the Suns. Markieff Morris and Archie Goodwin have been suspended for the fight they had with each other in their own huddle. Morris will get a 4-game suspension while Goodwin will get a 2-game suspension. Reports say that Tucker and Morris were helping Goodwin since he missed 2 straight defensive assignments. Goodwin murmured something to Morris that he didn't like which caused Morris to violently shove Goodwin onto the bench. Goodwin responded by slapped him resulting in being separated by the coaches and referees. After the game they began shouting at each other again after the loss to the Warriors and interim coach Earl Watson once again had to separate them.

Suns' Booker wins the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest

(February 13, 2016) - Rookie SG Devin Booker has just won the Foot Locker Three-Point contest. After the 23 point outing last night in the Rising Stars challenge, Booker was one of the favorites to win this contest. In the final round of the contest, he barely edged Stephen Curry who was the three-point champion last year.
