Diamond 2014 Melo dropping tomorrow from where he had 62 in a game. Can't breathe rn. He'll be the best forward in the game, probably forever. Sure there's Heat Lebron and ASG PG13, but this puppy is gonna have like 98 shooting and be uber athletic. All you guys that buy VC or MT go do that now so there will be more than one of these bad boys on the market tomorrow. Please and thank you. Word to 2k.

Why do you guys get excited about this? This is almost the biggest scam in history. 10 people will get him after thousands buy vc/mt chasing him. Then he'll be put him on the auction block, where he'll go for 2 or 3 mil. The cycle continues.

Thanks! I added the important ones to the OP. Pretty sure he's the first diamond to actually have poor defense and playmaking, but it's somewhat expected haha.

these are Pink Diamonds. at least its Melo though. again....no HOF scale. as someone once said...Melo hasn't done anything in his career to be rewarded with last year's Pink Diamond and this year is no different. again...at least its Melo though and not someone who's never sniffed an ASG.

I wish they would do some of these cards like the 5(I think) you'll eventually be able to get in the BM. 750k would still be a huge amount of MT to buy them.

Can't "help-its" prevail again.

1. 2K has found a way to stimulate hype-beasting and they genuinely have a case of "can't help-its" themselves.
2. We, in the community, have a case of "can't help-its" too where we feel ever so hopeful that a successful pull will occur. Disappointingly, All-Star packs have negatively surpassed bogus TBT packs. Hype-beasting was epic in All-Star anticipations, letdowns have become atrocious.

Good thing these guys won't be flooding the market and in people's teams. I couldn't play 2k15 because I kept getting matched with keyboard warriors with pink diamonds.

He won't be as good if he is based of his Knicks model. If they base it off the nuggets then he will be a god.

He has better animations and badges on the nuggets model.

I would think he would be based on the Nuggets. but it could be Knicks. as bad as this sounds...it really depends on what model the dev clicks on and decides to boost. they really are that lazy.

Maybe I'm getting to old then. To me this makes no sense. Around Christmas the community was screaming content content content, so they answer by releasing a bunch of cards that nobody can get? Is it really content, if you can't access it? For the people that have been playing this game since the game's release date there is nothing to do. I could make this a long rant but I'll save time.

1. You don't need diamonds to complete RTTP.
2. The guys with the lower overall squads that practice jumpshot releases, run plays, and can defend everything (a.k.a the 15 yr old) will always win.
3. 2k please release All of the remaining bronze, silver, and gold historic cards and put them in TBT, Moments, DR and Gem packs as well. The Current players that have been out for 5 months now are worth nothing. Whoever thought putting out 5 cards a week was a good idea should be fired and forced to watch the WNBA.

I agree and disagree to some of your points. You don't need Diamonds to win but the ones that practice don't always win either. IMO stick skills are not as dominant as they should be. RttP has a lot of luck involved now. Just who has it going and who doesn't. I played a game like that the other day where DR Lebron hit 2-2 threes and Harden and another guy killed me from deep while I missed a dozen wide open threes with guys with ratings 15 points higher than Lebron. Sometimes nothing goes your way regardless of the players on the court.

For this reason, I haven't really stressed the release of these diamonds for the most part. They don't guarantee victory. A lot of the people getting them are spending tons on MT and they aren't that good.

The only thing is...RttP stamina is an issue. So a card like this Melo could play damn near all game.

Other than that, its mostly a money-grab...but in a way thats better than locker codes.

Guys that get lucky breaks tend to freeze up in the 4th quarter. From my experience if you can keep it close, most guys rely on exploits in the closing moments instead of good basketball.

I agree with 2., being good at 2k trumps cards and luck. I win like 90% of my RTTP/PNO games but have people in my friendlist against whom I really struggle. I don't mean to brag, I'm good but I play against people who are clearly better than me every once in a while. There's less skill involved in friendlies though, the Pro difficulty setting makes it so anybody can score from anywhere, regardless the player or offense they run. That's why I'd never wager unless someone was willing to play the HoF challenge against me. RTTP lower seeds are the same, but I played through them twice and never faced a competent opponent, so it didn't really matter.
